What entered the factory today is a BMW X5. The mileage of the gearbox is close to 100,000. The gearbox oil should be changed. After a comprehensive inspection, the owner of the car is in place for the daily maintenance of the vehicle, but the oil and gearbox oil need to be replaced. Without saying much, carry on the operation.
Change the oil first. The lid with a tube in the picture is used to put pressure on the inside of the engine. The residual oil inside the engine can be removed by air pressure.
The pressure device is equipped with a pressure gauge, and the other end is connected to the output pipe of the air pump.
The engine oil comes from the original BMW oil, the model is 5W30.
For the oil filter element sealing ring that has been replaced, the large sealing ring is to prevent the oil from leaking through the shell of the oil filter element, while the small sealing ring is to prevent the oil filter element from losing its filtering performance. the oil will supply oil directly to the lubrication system through the oil channel of the sealing ring, and once the sealing ring is not replaced in time, it will not be sealed. The oil will feed the lubrication system directly without passing through the sealing ring.
The sealing ring is in the installation position of the oil filter element, whether the brain hole is big enough.
The paper oil filter element is used, and the base of the oil filter element has always been one of the oil leakage points in the BMW model.
After installation, the oil filter element must be tightened with a torque wrench.
Refill the engine oil.
For the release of the oil in the gearbox, the oil pan is plastic, which is really a feeling of handling it gently. Fortunately, the oil pan is replaced this time, otherwise I am really worried about its tightness.
If you want to remove the oil pan, you must remove the bracket of the distributor, because the bracket blocks the bolts of the oil pan and it is impossible to remove the oil pan.
The oil pan that has been disassembled can be said to be black and shiny, and the oil filter element of the gearbox accumulates a lot of mud.
Um, this is more intuitive. Is there a feeling that the sediment mainly comes from the wear and tear of the metal parts inside the gearbox, so it is very necessary to change the oil filter element of the gearbox in time.
Is this the first time you have seen the gearbox at this angle? now the dense devices that come into your eyes are the valve body of the shift actuator.
The new gearbox oil pan, the gearbox oil filter element is integrated with the oil pan, when replacing the gearbox oil filter element, the oil pan must be replaced together.
The new gearbox oil pan and oil bottom bolts have been brought, and most of the BMW bolts are made of aluminum, especially when the bolts of this kind of oil pan are disassembled and installed again, they will lose their original pre-tightening force and may leak oil. So after the bolts of the oil pan are removed, they can no longer be used.
Transmission oil from ZF.
After installation, the oil pan bolts and distributor brackets must be tightened with a torque wrench. The tightening torque of the bolt has an important influence on the maintenance result. If the bolt of the oil pan is forced, the oil pan will crack. If the force is too small, the oil will not be sealed.

The great potential of the N55 was released. The gearbox matching of all ZF was well done. After the road test, the gearbox responded positively, without sudden frustration, and delivered the car perfectly.
