In December 2018, because a friend proposed to go to Northeast China during the Spring Festival, the newly replaced Cooper HTS was replaced with Cooper AT3 for safety.

The AT3 tire was changed, and LD’s car was still Xiaolan at that time.

I changed cars a little hard, and in a twinkling of an eye I said goodbye to Xiaolan and held hands with Xiaobai.

Xiaobai’s original factory is a certain brand of tires, and I am personally afraid of this brand (Xiaolan’s original brand of tires were drummed in a hole on my way to the brand, and Matteway’s original brand of tires were as hard as bricks), so when I looked at the car and bought it, I already wanted to change it on the spot.

After all kinds of research and entanglement in this obsessive-compulsive disorder, I took a fancy to the new AX6 tire of Horse Brand. The size that can be used is 225/65/R17, and I can also use this size. I also want to find an opportunity to test whether it can be more comfortable after raising the tire wall, so Xiaobai decided early before he mentioned the car.

Unexpectedly, the plan could not catch up with the change, and the car soon found that there was something wrong with the original Han Tai tire and began to wobble at 50 per hour.
I personally think that unlike the problem of dynamic balance, after several test drives by the technical staff and technical director of the 4S store, the Pirelli tires of the sample car in the showroom are replaced and the failure is eliminated.

After all kinds of negotiations, Pirelli belongs to me.

This result is very satisfactory, but also gave rise to new problems, Xiaobai does not need new tires.

Xiaobai’s original factory tire was replaced by the endurance of the sample car.

Now that the horse card AX6 has been decided, give me Matway to try it on.

The common tire sizes for our Matway T5 and T6 are:

The diameter is about 724mm, which uses the original wheel hub and does not interfere with the limit size of the car body!

The Cooper AT3 tire in my car now, the maximum tire pressure is 300kpa, which can not meet the requirements of the original Maitway factory. It has always been an uncomfortable place for me with obsessive-compulsive disorder.

The new tire gets on the car, because the diameter becomes larger, the overall feeling is fuller, and the visual effect is better.

This size is the maximum diameter that Mateway can hold without interference with the car body. The tire pressure hit 320kpi first, and found that the downpressure is a little strong. Now it hits 350kpi.

I installed the tire, ran more than 30 kilometers, and ran some high speed to experience it:

1. Quiet, especially in medium and high frequency, the tire noise is very small, but this highlights the inherent defects of Matteway, the hum of low-frequency resonance (hum and vibration of the exhaust pipe), but you can’t blame the tire, .

2. Although 225 is much narrower than the original 235 tire, the ground grip of the pavement is basically not lost. I guess it has a lot to do with the tire rubber formula.

3. As a road travel, I think AX6 can well meet my requirements for safety and comfort.

4, the current tire pressure 350kpi, actually driving down, there will be a sense of bouncing, over the road joints will hear a thumping sound (the sound of the ball hit very hard), another day to lower the tire pressure to experience again, Matway this tool car is too picky on tires, it is not easy to find a suitable tire.
