There is a problem among individual sharp car owners: the window glass on the driver side or co-driver side of the car will automatically fall when it rises to the top, so that the window cannot be closed.

This is because a small number of people have triggered the anti-clamping function, and the windows can be reset to return to normal. The reset method is simple: press and hold the window  button to the top, hold it down for a few seconds and then let go, and then press the same operation for a few seconds, and then reset.

If the reset is invalid, or if it happens again a few days after the reset, it is most likely caused by a software problem. Very few vehicles will fail to close the automatic  window due to software problems with the sharp window control program (speculation that the anti-clamping may be too sensitive or miscalculation, etc.).

Changan Ford has conducted a detailed  survey on this problem, and this week it has opened a new version of the module upgrade software for the 4S, which can solve the problem of window rise and fall. So car owners who encounter this problem can take the initiative to go to 4S to upgrade the door module.

Since this problem is encountered by only a few Riverside vehicles, it is not a common problem, so Ford did not take the initiative to notify all its owners to upgrade.

Car owners also asked me: do I need to upgrade to 4S? Why didn’t Ford take the initiative to inform everyone to upgrade?
This is a very good question, let me explain a  my opinion, the problem that I may encounter (in fact, some cyclists have encountered it today).

Of course, in addition to the door module, there are other modules there are also some new versions of the software can be upgraded, we can consider whether to upgrade or not according to the problems we encounter.
Why do you consider upgrading according to the problems you encounter?
This brings me back to the first question: should I take the initiative to go to 4S to ask for an upgrade? Why doesn’t Ford send a notice requiring all car owners to upgrade to the 4S? If you look at the group, many car owners may know about this upgrade.

I would like to express my personal views. If anything is wrong, you are welcome to point it out for discussion.
First of all, the problem with the door (window) module, which is only an occasional problem encountered by a very few car owners, is not universal, so if Ford takes the initiative to inform everyone to upgrade one is not necessary, two waste of resources (for car owners and 4S stores that do not encounter this problem, time and energy is an extra waste of cost)
Secondly, if individual car owners encounter this problem, they will naturally contact 4S to check maintenance, then 4S will know which owners have this problem, and will contact owners with problems to upgrade to solve the problem. Most of the car owners who did not receive the 4S contact have no problem, so why upgrade without a problem?

Second, upgrade vehicle software  upgrade mobile phone software firmware or app is a similar reason. Although the new version of the software (and  refers to the car, generally refers to all software firmware, etc.) fixes some problems in the older version of the software, it may also introduce new potential problems (risks). You’ve been using the old software for a while, you don’t know if there are unacceptable problems, but you don’t know anything about the new software, trying to upgrade is a guinea pig. If the old version of the software encounters a problem that cannot be tolerated by , and the new version explicitly fixes the problem, then it is indeed worthwhile and necessary for  to upgrade-this is the case with the window rise and fall problem, car owners who encounter this problem must suggest upgrading, why take risks to bring more potential problems if they do not encounter? What if the upgrade of the window lift problem results in a problem with the door switch?
Back to the phone to upgrade firmware or upgrade app, I am also a bunch of little red dots to click off, obsessive-compulsive disorder is probably unacceptable, . But if the current version of app doesn’t have any barriers to use or unacceptable bug for me, why take the risk to upgrade? I made a mistake this week to upgrade Wechat. As a result, Wechat flickered frequently these days. regret having done sth! Usually I am very careful not to upgrade app easily. I don’t know how to get out of my head this time.

Upgrading the software version of these modules may result in the loss of the content you have previously refreshed and restore the factory settings. After all, these modules themselves are the modified objects in the process of brushing the machine, unlike the OTA upgrade of the car machine, the OTA upgrade is only for the car machine (and those PCM, car doors and other modules are two systems), and will not affect the content of the brush machine.

Those who know the brushing machine all know that brushing machine is to modify some codes or configuration parameters in the program of the original factory module, such as the automatic locking function of driving. It may be that this option is turned off at 0 and changed to 1 to open OK. It is as simple as that. Of course, to find out which parameter to modify and how to modify is the complexity and difficulty of brushing machine, which requires dedicated research and even countless attempts and tests.
So, if you change 0 to 1 by brushing the machine, you turn on some hidden function. Then you go to 4S to upgrade the software related to this module, and the default value is 0 in the new version of the software, then the function you used to swipe the machine before will be gone.

Of course, this is not a problem for cyclists who know how to brush their own machines.
It’s not a big deal for friends who brush their machines at the merchants / 4S/ riders in their city, just find the merchants / 4S/ cyclists who used to brush them and brush them again. If you are related to , you may not have to spend any more money.
However, at present, there are not many car owners / merchants familiar with sharp brushing machines in the country, especially for those with complex functions such as the center of the driveway and acc. In fact, there are only a few businessmen / car friends in the country. Then it brings a problem. Many riders brush their machines remotely, and the merchants express the equipment to them, and they find a local auto repair shop to help him connect the  equipment, and then remotely modify the parameters to brush the machine.
If the module software upgrade of this type of car owner causes the flash to fail, then the cost of re-brushing will be relatively high. The merchant will also need to re-express the module, re-connect to the auto repair shop, and re-brush the machine remotely through video. Of course, it’s not impossible, but the cost will definitely be higher.

Therefore, motorists who have swiped the phone should be cautious and think twice about upgrading these module software!
Again, if you don’t encounter any particularly unacceptable problems, I personally suggest not to upgrade modules and software to avoid bringing new problems and troubles!
