Now I will use my experience to introduce how to solve the problem of car body scraping with diy. So that we can deal with car body rubbing in the future with one more choice, one more reference, and less wrong money.
In the first two months of buying the new car, my wife and I caused three injuries due to lack of driving experience. During the period, I mended the paint twice, which is not as effective as the auto repair shop, but it is more than enough to cover up and protect the car body.
Here itself has been hurt, just repaired less than a day, the car scraped against the roadside stone injury like this. I have to say that the quality of the paint after mending is really poor, and I have had the idea of repainting since then.
I don’t have much record of the first repainting. I just took a few pictures before and after painting. The second mending is not recorded at the side skirt under the door.
Although this is my first time to fix the paint, the effect is better than this one. (note: this is the photo I took at night. I didn’t work at night. Diy repainting is not recommended to affect the effect of repainting at night.)

Quick-dry small patch and scraper, quick-dry small patch: fill shallow scratches on the surface of car paint, there are three colors (red, white, gray) according to the color of car paint, you can choose the closest color (if it is white car paint, choose white patch soil. In this case, two pieces of spray paint may be able to completely cover the patching soil) for shallow scratches on the paint surface, atomic ash is recommended for deeper scratches. The sand holes polished by atomic ash need to be filled with mending soil, and the scraper is used to fill the car paint.
Bright gold oil: the color is transparent for polishing and anti-oxidation protection of paint surface.
Bo) the gold oil color transparently harmonizes the color difference around the spray painting part, increases the luster of the spray painting part, and makes the color difference become not obvious. Focus on this paint pen if the color difference of the new car is within an acceptable range, it is not recommended to use cartridge gold oil because it is based on diluting the original car paint to achieve no color difference.
Mini spray can: can be sprayed with the above three repainting pens.
Thinner: if the paint solution of the paint pen thickens when it is cold, the spray paint will block the nozzle and need to add 3 drops of 2mur. in addition, if you are not satisfied with the effect of the repaint, you can dissolve it before the car paint is dry. There is also an eyedropper in the bag to absorb the diluent and a straw connecting the spray can and the repaint pen.
Art tape. It is used to cover the fitting accessories. I bought a standard package at that time, the high-end package with a mask, but for blocking a large area of the car body to use their own newspaper, and so on.
A wax is scratch wax used to polish scratches and decontamination on car paint, grinding and polishing.
B wax increases the brightness of the paint just like the wax we usually wax the car.
Some time ago, because of my carelessness, I turned around and rubbed my car against the rear cement guardrail. Compared with the heartache when I scraped for the first time, I blamed myself more for the repair of plastic bars, such as rubbing money, which was not worth the insurance. When I couldn’t bear to ignore it, I didn’t have to worry about it. Only DIY.
Clean the rubbing place first.
800 mesh coarse sandpaper is used to polish paint with sandpaper and sponge.
There is an opening in the middle of the sponge to fix both ends of the sandpaper.
Matching with sponge block can improve friction and grinding smoothness.
The effect of polishing is better and the friction of paint surface is reduced.

Apply evenly to the scratches of car paint
The filling soil should be higher than the paint so that it can be polished with sandpaper.
First polish it with 800 mesh coarse sandpaper and then finely polish it with 2000 mesh sandpaper.
Whether the polishing is smooth and smooth directly affects the effect of repainting. If you are not satisfied with it, you can continue to polish it until it reaches the desired appearance.
If it is flat, it can be calibrated with a ruler, but the curved surface of the bumper can be judged by touching it by hand.
After the soil is polished, let it dry naturally for about 20 minutes (suitable for the weather and appropriate extension in winter) this time can cover the car body accessories (headlights, lampshades, tires, glass, body plastic parts and body splicing seams) remember that must not patch cover that will only make the color difference more obvious. (patch refers to covering all the body of the car and leaving only the paint area.)

Use the same method to install bright gold oil.
