[17 Jiaru] Brake system maintenance to ensure brake performance.
I don’t know why these days. When I start driving early in the morning, I always feel that there is a strange noise on the brakes and creaks.
As for me with obsessive-compulsive disorder, I’m going to do it today, hoping to get better.
Drawing lessons from some previous experience in POLO, I am sure to be familiar with the road.
This time, we mainly focus on the maintenance of the front brake pump, but there is an electronic handbrake on the rear brake, not to mention the abnormal noise from the front brake, and the rear brake will not do it for the time being.
Secondly, the main purpose is that the wheels have not been removed after the new car is in hand. I am very worried about the problem that can not be removed, and I also want to get some anti-bite grease between the wheels and the brakes.
Start work ~

This time, I specially bought a lot of gloves, and the labor protection supplies were purchased offline and replaced. In fact, it was not cost-effective online. I compared them all.
The labor protection store in the vegetable market costs only 12 yuan for a pack of gloves. On the Internet, it is generally less than 20 and more expensive than 12, and the quality is about the same.
The main reason is that I buy online now, and on my way to the vegetable market that day, I bought gloves and found that the vegetable market was even more cost-effective.

The tools are ready.
The Jack and the tools for removing the wheel screws were brought by the original car. I haven’t bought this thing separately.
It’s just that the brackets are only left by POLO before.

I had planned to change the brake pads on the left and right sides of each other just to switch positions. It also prevents scratches on the brake pads (scratches on the brake discs)
It turns out that the four brake pads in the front brake actually look exactly the same. The front brakes of this car are exactly the same! )
When removing the wheel, lift it with a Jack, and then put it into the bracket to strengthen the stability of the car body.

There are a lot of scratches on the brake disc, which is why I have always wanted to find a place where the lathe is processed and think about the CD.

Bracket reinforcement ~

This is on the left, this side of the cab.

The screw of the sub-pump is relatively easy to disassemble, but there is one place to pay attention to.

This thing should be hung up like this to prevent a strain on the brake tubing.

These are the two brake discs on one side. I looked at them carefully and they are exactly the same.
I just simply changed the position inside and outside, that is to say, change the brake pads on the inside to the outside ~ ~ the outside to the inside ~ ~
Should not affect the braking effect, at most to run-in for a period of time!

It is also the maintenance set left over from the Polo maintenance before. TRW ~ ~
In view of the fact that the brake pads this time are also TRW, it is just matching.

My maintenance suit is bought by JD.com. It seems to be dozens of yuan.
At that time, I bought it together with TRW brake pads.
Brake system cleaner x1 + anti-occlusal lubricating grease x1 + transfer pin lubricating grease x1 + high temperature muffler paste x1 + gloves x1 + steel brush x1

Split the moving pin, this is the rubber directly put on ~ ~ can be taken off with a little rotation.

There is a lot of grease in the original car distribution pin, but it is very diluted and dark. The lubrication effect is certain.

Wipe the dishcloth to dry the maintenance oil from the new picture; it’s similar to butter, maybe it’s purer.

Brush the brake pads ~ ~ it looks like the thickness is still OK.

These are the brake pads on the other side. They are all about the same.

When I installed it, I used heat-resistant lubricating oil where the brake pads were in contact with the bracket.
Here can not excess grease, to prevent dripping into the brake pad impression braking effect ~ ~ remember.
Key points: internal and external exchange of positions. Hey, hey, hey.

The same on the left.

After cleaning, apply some heat-resistant silencer between the brake pads and the sub-pump calipers when installing. (in the maintenance kit)
I feel like I can use butter on this thing.

Focus on ~
The two bolts of the brake pump and the nuts linked to the rubber sleeve are different ~ that is to say, the nut above can be clamped and removed with a movable wrench; while the nut below cannot be clamped with a wrench, it seems to me that there are some small openings. It seems that you have to use professional tools to hold this nut, but I did not use strong pliers, in fact, the effect is the same.

See, this is the screw nut above, which can be used with a wrench.
In other words, the nut on the inside of the caliper can be used with a wrench or pliers, while the nut on the outside of the caliper is the 13MM size of the phone.

After the caliper has been installed, in order to prevent it from sticking with the wheel hub and causing the possibility that it is difficult to change the tire and disassemble the wheel hub in the future, I have some lubricating grease (my this is lithium-based lubricating oil) and a little brass feeling.

Also made some screws ~ ~ before the Polo is like this ~ ~ will not cause loose!

After the front brake pads are done, then the rear wheels are done.

The first three wheels are easy to remove and easy to remove.
Only the last hub
I’ve been dismantling it for a long time, but I just need to find a hammer.

Fortunately, I thought of a bolt loosening agent, sprayed some, after a while, one foot down, loosened ~

It’s done. We’re done.
There are still a lot of tools, a lot of preparation, but very few.
Approximately use the following tools:
13mm sleeve + pliers + movable wrench + steel brush + all kinds of lubricating oil + gloves + bolt loosening agent + brake system maintenance set

Find a maintenance kit or you can prepare one. You should be able to use it two or three times. This is the second time.
On the whole, the complete range of tools is actually very simple.
