Change the air filter element yourself 0

The air filter element is generally replaced with engine oil, but it is also replaced in advance or later according to actual conditions. I usually change the oil at the maintenance shop and replace the air filter myself.
The Da Tong Air Filter element is on the right side of the engine, next to the antifreeze pot.

First use a screwdriver to remove the screws fixing the steel ring of the intake pipe

Then remove the wire connector behind the air filter cover

Use a Phillips screwdriver to remove the four fixing screws around the filter element cover. These screws don’t have to be completely removed. They can be removed halfway. They are kept together with the upper cover and are convenient during installation.

There are no fixing screws on the side near the cockpit behind the air filter cover, which is fixed by this kind of snap.

Therefore, when removing the air filter cover, first translate the cover as a whole towards the machine head, let the fixed end of the cover come out of the buckle, and then move up and remove the cover as a whole. Don’t push directly up.

This is an old filter element and it is already very dirty. Just replace it with a new filter element directly, and pay attention to the installation direction.

Cover the filter element, first align the fixed end of the cover with the buckle, push it flat in to jam the buckle, then start tightening the four screws, install the air intake pipe, tighten the fastening screw ring, and connect the wire. It’s finished.
