It has been a year since I bought a car in November 2019. The car has traveled a total of 16,000 kilometers and has been maintained twice, 6,000 kilometers and 16,000 kilometers respectively. The maintenance time this time was earlier than expected. Because a collision occurred, at an intersection, I accelerated to change lanes and tried to overtake the vehicle in front of me. However, after I passed, I found that there were still 2 seconds left on the yellow light. Thinking about the remaining driver’s license points I had left, I stepped on the brake. As soon as I stopped, I felt the vehicle shake, and the car behind me knocked my car away for about ten meters.
To be honest, the specific feeling was that the car shook a little, and when you got off the bus, it was terrible to see. The car behind is Volkswagen Sagitar. The right front has been hit beyond recognition. My left rear tail has also rotted out several times. The car has only been driving for a year, and it hurts! What hurt even more was that the traffic police determined that I was a temporary access road and took full responsibility. I want to cry but have no tears.
Looking back now, Volvo cars are really strong. Although some people on the Internet think that the tail of the XC60 is a “big butt”, the materials are real. I feel slightly shaking in the car after such a heavy collision. Although the tail was no longer visible (see the picture below), there was no problem when I drove back. I have to say that Volvo’s safety is really good.
The car was sent to the 4S shop for repair. The insurance company and the store were repaired throughout the entire process. The service was also quite good. I just waited for the phone to pick up the car. The staff in the store also received me warmly. After a detailed inspection, they helped me repair and wash the car, and predicted the approximate time.
For more than a year, the car experience of 16,000 kilometers is still good, especially the driving experience is very good. I am a layman driving, and the experience of using the car is that the steering wheel is very light, the direction is very comfortable (especially compared with my previous POLO), and the steering is also good. Speed up is also very fast, and it is easy to drive to refuel and overtake. This is also one of the reasons for this collision. I am used to overtaking and feel that there will be no problem this time. Who knows it will be a mistake? Another thing is that driving is very smooth. When the speed is between 90 and 100, I don’t feel fast at all while sitting in the cab. Sometimes I don’t feel worried when I tell you to drive to 120-130. In the previous car, I felt that the speed was too fast and the body was shaking a little. Now I don’t have this feeling.
Finally, I would like to say that everyone asked me what other cars I could buy at this price, but I was not moved, because with just so little money, without Volvo’s car purchase loan (interest-free and free handling fee) provided by me specifically for international students, I would not have been able to afford such a good car. So now, looking back on buying Volvo was a wise choice. I also recommend those students who have just returned to China and have little money to consider this car. The price is really good. I said it out of my own feeling, not an advertisement.
