Record of Volvo starting and stopping small battery replacement
Yesterday morning when I went out to the garage, I went to the same steps as before: drive the door-get on the car and ignite the fire-fasten the seat belt-put in gear and start. Just after driving less than 10 meters, it suddenly appeared in the middle of the dashboard: The parking assist system cannot be used (there was an alarm that the radar needed to be cleared). I think the meaning is similar. When you get off the car, the alarm will disappear when you clean the radar detector. I ignored it and continued driving, and it appeared again after driving less than 5 meters: start/stop, you need to contact the dealer alarm. There was no choice but to stop the car and use the magic weapon: restarting Dafa. As a result, the 4S shop did not work at around 7 o’clock in the morning, so I couldn’t make a phone call and had no choice but to continue driving to work. The alarm still exists after work at noon and restarted. Photo taken, contacted and sent it to the 4S after-sales service, saying that they needed to go to the store for a test. Arriving at the store in the afternoon, the after-sales boy first drove on the road to try it and then took photos. He then used Volvo’s special battery testing instrument to measure the voltage. He said that the reason for the alarm was that the small battery had insufficient voltage, so he asked him to remove it and charge it in the store for 8 hours. I communicated with my brother and asked if I usually use the start and stop function. I said there was no need for it, so I turned it off when I got on the bus; the little brother asked if he had not traveled long distances recently and had only been in the city? I was right. The younger brother said that this was because he didn’t run long distances often and the start-up and shutdown battery was small, which could easily lead to insufficient charging of the battery and loss of power, so the alarm was triggered. I said replace it with a new one, but the younger brother disagreed and said that according to regulations, charging it first. If the small battery cannot be charged, he can claim for a new battery. Well, wait for tomorrow’s results. The next day, the 4S shop called and said that the small battery could not be charged and it was indeed broken. They could give me a new one for free. Happy, drive! The little brother finished replacing it for me with his professional skills, and the ignition test alarm was eliminated. Very satisfied with this service. Thank you to Volvo World for providing me with information support! Let me remind all Volvo car owners: If there is an alarm like mine on the driving dashboard, go to the 4S shop and ask for a new small start-stop battery.
