I know a little bit, because I have been in the mainframe factory, so I have my own care about the use and maintenance of vehicles, especially some of the vehicle parts we often use and see, which are often ignored. But I am concerned about it. Today, I am talking about an unpopular maintenance topic. I believe that few car friends pay attention to it.
The term limiter may be strange to everyone, but its function is not small. Every time we open and close the car door, we can’t do without its assistance. Of course, today’s maintenance topic is not just a limiter.
Next, I would like to share with you some of my maintenance of the vehicle. Today’s maintenance topic is mainly reflected in the location of the door.

The first thing we do before we get on the bus must be to open the door. I wonder if you have ever thought that opening a door requires the cooperation of those parts in the car.
The car parts needed to open a door, door handle, door limiter, door hinge, door lock block, these terms are the maintenance topics we are talking about today. Every time we open the car door, we need their cooperation to open it, and the probability of using it every day is very high, but few riders take care of it, and some of them may be doing it, but I haven’t heard of anyone who has taken care of it for the time being.
The red circle above represents the door hinge, there are two for each door, and the red square is the door limiter.
The hinge function of the door is to fix the connection and fixation between the whole door and the side, including the gap adjustment of the door needs its assistance (those who have changed the door can pay attention to this position, and most of them have paint falling. Judge whether the door has been changed or not, also look at it).
As the name implies, the function of the limiter is to assist the opening and closing of the door position through it. Before the factory leaves the factory, the manufacturer will have some lubrication treatment on it, but with the growth of the age of the car, the lubrication treatment done by the manufacturer has already lost its original function, just like the limiter in the picture above, the lubrication treatment done by the original factory has long been dry, if it is not maintained in place in the later stage, its service life will be affected.
In order to maintain these parts of the car door, I have prepared a bottle of lubricant for Heilang. Some old drivers may say that it is OK to be lubricated with oil, but it is also possible to lubricate with oil, but one drawback of oil is that it absorbs ash. Long-term lubrication with oil is easy to produce oil dirt, so it is not recommended to use oil lubrication. This kind of lubricant is available online, the price is not expensive, a bottle can be used for a long time.
Older car owners may feel that the opening and closing doors are not smooth and loud, and the big problem may be that there is something wrong with these positions, so we must take good care of the car owners so that such problems will not occur when they are used in the later stage. The lubricant is easy to use and can be sprayed in a position that needs to be lubricated.
The main body of the door link on the car body is the hinge and the limiter, so our old car should be lubricated once every two months, of course, everyone’s maintenance method is different, this is just my personal car maintenance experience.
At the beginning, it is also mentioned that the maintenance of today’s chat is mainly reflected in the car door, which talks about the hinges, followed by the door lock block and other parts.
Lock block position manufacturers will also do lubrication treatment when leaving the factory, with the increase of the vehicle, the lubrication treatment of the original factory has long been dry, in the later stage we must do a good job in maintenance. (if you have a new car, you can observe the place I mentioned, there are a lot of grease in this position, and this is the lubrication protection made by the manufacturer.)
The maintenance of the handle outside the door is also necessary. The ash in this position is very serious. I will wipe it every time I wash the car.
Although the handle is made of plastic, it is also essential for its lubrication.
Every time the temperature is cold, we will find that there is a sharp abnormal sound when lifting the glass. This problem is actually caused by the dryness of the glass guide groove. In the long run, the interior of the guide groove will be damaged, and it will be difficult for the glass to rise and fall. Serious damage can cause elevator and motor damage.
In order to make the glass work normally, we must also lubricate the glass in this position.
The lubrication is also very simple, just spray the lubricant along the gap between the rise and fall of the glass.
The required lubrication position of the door is basically reflected above, and then we will talk about the lubrication of the parts of the trunk.
The lubrication parts of the trunk are much simpler than the car door. There are only two lock blocks and locks in the trunk, and the hinges of the trunk do not need to be lubricated (spring type).
Just spray a little bit in the locked position.
Here I would like to remind you that there will be a line connection between the door and the trunk lock. Be careful not to spray too much so as not to cause damage to the circuit (remember).
The lubrication maintenance of the trunk is over, so let’s lubricate the cover lock and hook.
All the locks on the car will be lubricated and maintained, and with the passage of time, we should learn to maintain them. (the high-equipped model has the cover to open the reminder function, if it is the high-equipped model of the car to lubricate this position, be careful not to spray too much)
