It seems that tens of thousands of KM have not changed the spark plug.
The main purpose of changing the spark plug this time is to study the installation of oil permeability.
When I was cleaning the throttle the other day, I found that there was a lot of oil in the intake pipe, so it was time to install a breathable kettle for the car.
It seems that the installation of a breathable kettle can also reduce carbon accumulation on the engine, especially the throttle and air intake; there is no gasoline at the direct injection port in the cylinder, so as long as there is oil at the throttle, it means that there must be a lot of carbon accumulation in the air intake! What’s more, sitting in a chair when idling recently, I always feel trembling from time to time, which doesn’t look like a very smooth engine at all.
I thought that the shivering could be solved by cleaning the throttle and changing the spark plug.
It seems that next time we should start cleaning the air inlet of the intake port.
What’s more, in the past, Polo self-priming was installed ~ this direct injection should be installed with a breathable kettle.
Needless to say, first change the spark plug as a souvenir of the picture above.

The tools should be well prepared.

But the packaging is too simple! You should at least take a box and pack it up. This thing shouldn’t fall again!

Remove turbine intake pipe and air filter. They are all cards that can be taken off if they are carefully opened!

If you use a special clamp to open the wire ring, you can’t pull it out. Just shake it left and right like this.

Unplug ~ ~ remember to wear gloves to prevent bumps and bumps!

This time, I mainly want to see how big this pipe is.

This is the pipe which is covered with foam, which should also be called the ventilation pipe of turbocharger.

If the 20T screws on each side are removed, they can be pulled out directly.

There is oil on both sides. If you take a closer look, you can see that this pipe is probably linked to the turbine through the engine valve cover.
That is, as the rotational speed increases, the pressure of the valve cover increases, and the attached oil and water vapor follow the pipe to the turbine and then to the throttle, resulting in a large amount of carbon deposition in the intake branch and engine intake.

This time, I mainly want to see what the size and diameter of this pipe is.
First soften the outer foam with a detergent.
Then peel off the outer foam.

This makes the foam layer wrapped in the outer layer off ~ ~ it is very intuitive to see the pipe.
I thought this pipe and the joints on both sides were integrated.

Go on to the other side.
Helplessly, the pipe is too firmly connected to the interface to be pulled out easily.
I measured it a lot. It should be a 19MM diameter tube.
The next time you buy a 19mm pipe online, then violently disassemble this joint ~

Then it’s time to make the spark plug ignition coil ~ ~ A total of four screws 10mm sleeve can easily remove the ignition coil.

Notice that there is a screw on each ignition coil.
In fact, the worst thing to do is the wire connector on the ignition coil, which is not easy to disassemble.
The order should be: first remove the plug of the ignition coil, then remove the fixing bolts on the ignition coil, and then gently pull the ignition coil up with their bare hands.

The fixing bolt of the ignition coil is still a little long.
10mm’s sleeve.

The ignition coil is easy to pull out, it feels like my previous Polo ignition coil is easy to pull out, and the previous Polo ignition coil can only be pulled out with a special tool.
This EA211 ignition coil is unarmed! If you gently pull it up with your bare hands, it will fall off.

The order is four cylinders + three cylinders + two cylinders + one cylinder.
In fact, you don’t have to worry about the order, you can install it casually. Personally, I think.

This is a cylinder of spark plugs, a lot of dirt.
I feel that the air intake should accumulate more carbon. It seems that we really need to do the air intake some other day.
After all, there are more than 70, 000 KM, and the carbon deposits have not been cleaned up.

This is the spark plug of the second cylinder. It’s almost like a tank.

Because it was deeper than I thought, I had no choice but to use the ratchet wrench of the extension rod.
According to this picture, moving forward is loose, which is simply understood as a counterclockwise loose screw.
Key point: when moving the spark plug, there was a bit of a tearing sound. I once thought that the spark plug had been moved in the wrong direction and screwed it out.
In fact, due to the high temperature of the spark plug and the cylinder block has a certain adhesion, so there is a sound similar to ceramic explosion.
In short, turn the wrench counterclockwise to remove it.

The third cylinder removed.

The fourth cylinder, take a closer look at each spark plug, the contact for the position has a white product, a bit like the feeling of corrosion.

Compare with the brand-new NGK, whether it is intermittent or similar.
It seems that the original spark plug can still be used.
The engine jitter diagnosed this time should have nothing to do with spark plugs.

When installing the spark plug, I used some so-called high-pressure grease and applied it to the opening of the ignition coil. I was not worried that it would lead to poor contact.
I stuffed some directly into the ignition coil.

To install the spark plug, I didn’t have a torque wrench, after all, I didn’t either.
I feel that the spark plug this time should not be as tight as the previous one. Personally, I think it’s okay.

Set up to take a picture of the old spark plug.

This should be the spark plug from the doctor’s original factory.
70, 000 KM has not been changed, but it is also cowhide.

After installation, wipe it clean and get some surface wax.

Take a drive around the forest in the afternoon and take a picture.
I still feel a little shivering at idle when waiting for the traffic light.
Next time, we should get the air intake.
