I drove almost 80,000 kilometers, and I changed the gasoline filter element for the first time. The Highlander 2.0T is a built-in gasoline filter element, which takes a long replacement cycle. However, I don’t think it’s as good as the external one. The external one is 20,000 kilometers but it is very convenient. The built-in one is too troublesome. The master had to remove too many things. The total cost was 766 yuan, of which the labor cost of 400 yuan was really not expensive, because it took an hour. The first thing you need to do is remove the seat on the left side of the second row.

I have a 5-seat Highlander, which is more troublesome than a 7-seat highlander. The 7-seat highlander only needs to remove the seat, and the 5-seat highlander also needs to remove the storage box under the trunk.

The master was very careful and serious. He used a towel to pad the surroundings and tried to minimize leakage of gasoline into the car when disassembled. The next day after I replaced it, the car had no smell of gasoline.

I took out the gasoline filter and it felt quite clean. Maybe I could replace it for 90,000 to 100,000 kilometers.

Everything must be disassembled and cleaned, only the filter element should be replaced, and the oil pump and shell should not be replaced.



Before installation, the master also sucked up the floor under the seat clean, and some biscuit residue and dust that had been more than 4 years old could finally leave the car.
