[Model 17 Jialu] Install an external filter for the air conditioner to prevent foreign objects from entering the air conditioning system.
In the past, Polo was equipped with an external filter element for the air conditioner, which resulted in a very small air outlet. So this time I didn’t install the filter element and just installed a simple dust screen.

These two buttons can be easily pulled out with your bare hands.

By the way, remove the adhesive tape on it, not all of it, just remove the middle part!

You can remove it by lifting the upper end of the cover with a little force. Because the cover plate and the wind shield have a groove form, they are snapped together.

So there is no need to remove the wiper, because the rain chute is spliced together.

There is a black foam block under the left side of the rainwater collecting trough cover, which seems to be used to fix the rainwater collecting trough cover. The screws are T30

T30 screws, easy to remove, only two.

Remove the non-rainwater chute cover here! The rainwater collecting trough cover does not need to be fixed with screws. This is the baffle of the air conditioner that needs to be fixed with screws.

At this time, you can see the three screws on the external box of the air conditioner, a 10mm sleeve is enough.

10mm sleeve.

It may stick to the original car when taking it off, so this rubber ring can easily be torn.

Wash some plastic parts by the way, then dry and glue the sealing ring.

Mine was stuck very firmly, so it tore!

All kinds of glue were used.

The next step is to make this stainless steel net!

This is the external filter element left by Polo before. The reason why I don’t use it this time is because it can easily get blocked.

Cut directly to the right size and wrap the entire box. Don’t care about the appearance!!!

Fold the steel wire mesh to the back, and then stick it on the back with a glue gun ~~

That’s the whole process ~~ Installation and debugging, the air outlet is perfect, and the effect of the original air volume remains the same.
