The EA111 engines around 2010 used antifreeze to heat the exhaust valve, so that the exhaust gas was better heated, and then entered the intake manifold for combustion. However, with the increase of years, more and more cars have leaked. It was just that an alarm was discovered that the antifreeze was missing. To replace this accessory, it was necessary to remove the intake manifold. It was very troublesome. Moreover, this thing was not durable yet. It was bought from the subsidiary factory and broke down again soon. Considering that LaVida has been for more than ten years, directly discard this function and modify it once and for all.

This is a picture that was replaced by someone else. This small fitting is connected to the water pipe.

This little thing, on the back of the intake manifold, is troublesome to replace.

This little thing leaked from the gap, causing water leakage and the antifreeze was missing. Exhaust gas from the crankcase enters the intake manifold according to the blue arrow, and the pink one is antifreeze. It exchanges heat through this little thing and heats the exhaust gas.

At one end is a three-way water pipe under air filtration.

One end is a small water pipe for the auxiliary water tank.

Remove the small water pipes first, measure the inner and outer diameters and prepare to buy accessories.

After measurement, the outer diameter is 8 and the outer diameter is 13. I bought an inner diameter of 6 and an outer diameter of 13. In actual use, it is better to buy an inner diameter of 8 and an outer diameter of 13.

I bought 1 meter, which is not expensive.

The inner diameter is 6, the reticulated rubber pipe is too tight in actual use, so you should buy the 8 size.

The length is enough.

Two clamps were sent, but they were useless later.

Pull out one end of the water pipe.

The clamps on the original car are very good, continue to use them.

Put on new pipes.

Clamp in place.

After one end is fixed, the other end can be directly connected.

The other end is a small water pipe connected to the auxiliary kettle, which means a direct connection. This bonus valve is abandoned. If you don’t have enough antifreeze, you won’t leak.

Temporarily fix it first and drive for a few days to see if there is any problem.

Plug one end with paper first.

After using it for a few days, it was stable, no problem, and no leakage.

Prepare to fix the pipe, wrap the pipe with a sponge with glue to prevent damage after friction.

Pipe this package.

Then use a cable tie to secure it under the air filter assembly.

In addition, this section is also wrapped to prevent friction.

The length is too long, cut it properly.

Just cut it.

Then plug it back into place.

I felt that the middle was not fixed too long, so I removed the air filter assembly and fixed it again.

Wrap it in the middle and fix it on the carbon cylinder valve with a cable tie.

It is stable in actual use and no traces of modification are visible.

The black tube matches well.
The original pipe continues to be left, blocking the nozzle, so that it can be changed back at any time in the future. In addition, abolishing this function will have little impact on the car, but it will reduce the hidden danger of cracking and leakage. It is recommended to replace old cars in time.
