Mercedes-Benz Big G cannot be started occasionally

Drivers driving the Big G to Xizang on National Highway 318 encountered vehicle failure when passing through Chengdu. A colleague in Beijing contacted us that the vehicle needed rescue. The fault is that the vehicle cannot start 9 out of 10 times. Everything is normal on the way to Chengdu. The car suddenly cannot start. We understand that the driver is very anxious. In order not to delay the journey, we drag the vehicle to the store that night to check for the fault the next day. After inspection, we found the fault point. Due to the short circuit in the line, the cars could not start. The short circuit in the line also caused internal failure in the body module SAM. The software upgrade failure was not solved, so we had to order a new SAM module. Final troubleshooting. After repairing the vehicle, the riders continued to drive on the road to Lhasa.

As the site could not be repaired, the vehicle was towed away at 11 p.m. and the next day was ready to be repaired.

We found a large amount of oxide on the plug of the fuse box

The fuse box is connected to many electrical appliances and modules. The vehicle failure changed after the fuse box failure was eliminated, but there were other failures.

We continued to inspect and verify that there was an internal fault in the front SAM body module of the vehicle, and the upgrade did not solve the problem. In the end, the module had to be replaced.
