New pattern, oh, it’s New Year. Let’s wish everyone a happy New Year in advance!
My model is an X3F25 35i with a 3.0T N55 nose. I am very satisfied with using it. Except for the engine leaking a little oil (indicating that it is a BMW genuine product), and the refrigerant tank was replaced once in the middle (the float sensor aging alarm). I have not encountered any other minor problems, so it is a very good car.
Degumming of the co-driver’s glove box is a common design problem. Almost every car encounters it. It’s just a matter of time. This year, my car has also encountered this problem. Once it is unglued, it will become more and more serious. The co-driver will hit his knees, which not only affects the appearance, but also affects the use. Take advantage of the time available during the holiday to solve this problem that has been troubling for months.
This is already very serious. I asked the 4s shop before and said that I could only exchange it, and the price was 2000+. I also asked about the so-called car-dismantling parts, which were actually subsidiary factory parts, which cost 800 yuan. I didn’t want to buy subsidiary factory parts and couldn’t bear it. It was just degumming, so I thought of a way myself. The last 20 yuan was perfect repair

After collecting glue again, I finally chose 3M CA40H. The brand product will be better than the ordinary 502, 50 yuan a bottle. Then I need to prepare several large folders, and the strength must be strong enough.(I didn’t get the small clip before, so remember your experience

For ease of operation, it’s best to remove this glove box. It only takes a few screws to fix it. I went to a nearby store to remove it.

Then apply glue evenly and pour glue into the grooves of the edge floor. Since it is quick-drying glue (5-40 seconds), the action should be quick. It would be better if two people worked together. After applying, use a clip to tighten the edge and find a heavy object to press it (such as a brake plate)。

To ensure the effect, don’t rush, wait 1-2 hours for it to completely adhere, and then put it back.

After putting it back, the edge is actually firmly stuck. To be on the safe side, do not remove the clip at the point where the stress is greatest. Just do this for 24 hours to consolidate the results.

The next day, the clip was removed and it was completely restored. There was excess glue on the upper edge of the cover, which could be solved by wiping with wind oil or the like.

Half a bottle of glue, 20 yuan, solved this annoying problem, feel like you made 2000 yuan? hahaha
Post and share, hoping to be useful to riders, and don’t spend money to replace the cover, because this problem will still arise after replacing the cover with a new one.
