The National Day seven-day holiday has just passed, in this rare seven-day holiday, there must be many motorists driving their own cars, taking their family or friends out to play, enjoying this relaxed and comfortable holiday.
But after we come back from self-driving, I do not know whether you will inspect the car in time. After all, when you drive yourself, the vehicle will run under high load, and many potential problems may be exposed. At the same time, you will inevitably get caught in the sun and rain or encounter some small scratches. Therefore, it is necessary to check your car in time after the happy journey, so that once you have a small problem, you can deal with it in time and eliminate the hidden trouble in the bud.
Today, I would like to talk about my vehicle inspection after returning from self-driving. I hope it can play a role in attracting jade. Due to the lack of talent and learning, I would like to ask you to criticize and correct me.
1. Wash the car in time when you come back from self-driving
Self-driving outside, vehicles are usually parked in an open-air parking lot, so the body will inevitably be stained with some bird dung or resin; at the same time, if the front of the car at night will also leave some mosquito stains, if it is not cleaned in time, it will leave traces that are difficult to clean.
2. Check the car body
After washing the car, we can check the car body to see if there is any damage to the body paint. if it is abnormal, we should take corresponding measures in time according to the degree of damage.
When I went out this National Day, when I came back to wash the car, I found that there were some scratches on my Lao Lang’s right rearview mirror. Fortunately, it was not a big problem, and it could be solved with an electric lacquer, but if the damage was on the metal surface and the paint was painted in the end, it should be dealt with in time to avoid corroding the metal.
3. Check the wiper tape
Wiper tape can be said to be the most aging consumables in the whole vehicle. Driving outside, especially in high temperature weather, strong direct sunlight will accelerate the aging of the tape, so it should be checked frequently. Once it is found that the wiper has abnormal noise or poor effect in use, it should be replaced in time.
4. Check the tires
The inspection of the tire is mainly in two aspects: one is to see the degree of wear of the tire, and the other is to see if there is any foreign body on the tire.
If the tire and wear to the safety line, then it needs to be replaced.
The tire has been worn down to the safety line and needs to be replaced.
We can check whether we have reached the wear safety line with the help of an one-dollar coin, and if 2/3 of the coin is exposed, it means there is little tire wear.
If there is a foreign body such as a nail in the tire, it is necessary to check for air leakage, and if there are some large stones stuck in the gap in the tire tread, it should be cleaned in time.
5. Check the engine compartment
The inspection of the engine compartment mainly focuses on the inspection of antifreeze, glass water, oil and two filters (air filter element and air conditioning filter element).
The inspection of antifreeze is mainly to see whether the level of antifreeze is in the normal range and so on. If it is lower than the minimum scale, it should be added in time.
When it is found that there is not much glass water, we should also add glass water in time. I usually add glass essence first before adding appropriate pure water.
As for the oil inspection, first find the position of the oil ruler, pull out the oil ruler, and wipe the surface of the oil ruler with a clean paper towel. if the oil stain is clear, the oil is good, and if it is dark, change it.
Then insert and pull out the wiped ruler again, and check the liquid level on the oil ruler (this check needs to be checked in the case of a cold car). If it is between the highest or the lowest, it means that the oil is appropriate, and if it is below the minimum scale, then add it.
As for the inspection of the two filters (air filter element and air conditioning filter element), we mainly look at whether the filter element is covered with dust, and then replace it according to the situation.
