Once the road is not good, there is a lot of noise in the tire. Due to the lack of air to protect the tire, the tire wall is very hard, so calmly leads to poor comfort. When I got the trial quota for the Aika Feijin tire in September, the matter of the hub will be speeded up.
The hub has been selected before ATSV domestic forging and Fengtu FR551 spinning. Because of the uncertainty about the forging technology, the spinning FR551 is chosen for the sake of conservatism. First put two final modification results for everyone to enjoy.
When it comes to the brand FALKEN, many people may not know much about it. Like Dunlop, FALKEN Feijin Tire is part of Sumitomo Rubber Group. Although it officially entered the domestic market in early 2015, it is already a first-tier tire brand on a par with Dunlop in North America, Europe and Japan. The brand has been active in major automobile events since its inception, and the technology of its market tire products also comes from its racing tires, so handling performance and high performance-to-price ratio have always been the advantages of Feijin brand.

AZENIS FK510 series is the flagship ultra-high performance tire product of Feijin, which aims at sports cars and high-performance sports cars. By adopting tread formula with high silicon content and special tread pattern design, it can meet the needs of performance car owners for stability and handling performance when driving at high speed.
FK510 currently provides only 9 tire models in the domestic market, the main models are 18 inches (4 specifications) and 19 inches (4 specifications), and only one 17 inch model, the tire width chooses the smallest 235mm and the largest 275mm, and most models are concentrated between 245m-265mm, which shows the high level of the corresponding model.

The retrofit is mainly to upgrade ATSL wheels and tires, the original 17-inch wheels and Bridgestone air-deficient protection tires overall grip and handling are not satisfied, comfort is not to mention, initially poisoned 19-inch wheels, the target forum locked in the front 225 or 235 flat ratio 40, rear wheels 255 or 265 flat ratio 35, as an original 280p horsepower rear drive, the original car before and after 225 45R17 seems too conservative. Finally, combining the control and visual impact, the gray hub of the 18-inch FR551 spinning gun is selected. Compared with the visual impact of the hub modification, I think the modified tire gives the driver a more direct feeling. The tire is widened, and the most direct feeling is that the grip is more stable, and the rear wheel of floor oil does not slip. Because the overall weight of FR551 and FK510 is lighter than the original tire hub, so the handling has not been affected. On the contrary, the overall handling feels more flexible.

The FK510 crown is divided into 5 layers, with 2 polyester fiber layers, 2 steel wire layers and 1 nylon fiber layer, and 2 polyester fiber layers on the tire wall. Polyester fiber is harder than nylon layer, but the strength, wear resistance and toughness of nylon material are stronger than polyester fiber. FK510 uses a layer of nylon reinforcement layer to ensure the rigidity of the tire at high speed, while the inside and outside of the tread are made of different rigid carcass materials, which greatly reduces the deformation of the tread and improves the controllability and stability.
As the flagship model of ultra-high performance, FK510’s existing products are produced in Feijin’s Japanese factory. At the same time, in order to meet the needs of high-performance luxury sports models, they are all “EXTRA LOAD” enhanced radial tires, with a load capacity of 3 to 4 grades higher than standard tires.
As a brand of Sumitomo Group, FK510 uses the same 4D NANO DESIGN rubber formulation technology as Dunlop’s high-end products, perfectly allocates polymers through nanotechnology, while introducing more silicone compounds into the molecular structure of rubber, greatly enhancing the ground grip ability of tread rubber and improving the safety of dry and wet roads. In addition, SUMITOMO indicates that it is a product of Sumitomo Group.
In order to reduce costs, major tire manufacturers have set up factories in China, so when we usually choose and buy tires, it is very difficult to see all imported tires, but FK510 is different. The most representative of ultra-high-performance tires, FK510 is made in Japanese factories, with the word “really fragrant”. It is not clear why, the 3T tire parameters are not indicated on the tire. But you can rest assured that the domestic 3C certification is passed.
Asymmetrical tread pattern design, the tire wall is marked inside and outside, and the speed grade of the whole FK510 system has reached the Y grade. Compared with the product specification, it is equivalent to that the tire can run 300KM/H.
The diamond pattern on the inner wall of the tire has been strengthened. The overall resilience is stronger.
The design of three main longitudinal grooves in the crown ensures the efficient drainage performance of the tire. In view of the noise generation, the pattern block on the outside of the FK510 tread adopts a variable pitch design to reduce the tire road noise and passing noise; in addition, this part of the pattern block specially uses a high rigid structure to provide better support when the tire shoulder touches the road surface and improves the stability of tire control. The design of the groove on the inside of the tread provides a double guarantee for the drainage performance, and the stability of the wetland performance can still be ensured when the tread pattern is worn. The arc-shaped shoulder design optimizes the grounding pressure of the shoulder, which can prevent tire grounding deformation and ensure handling performance in high-speed corners.
Many people who do not quite understand the modification think that the whole car with different wheels will be beautiful. As a result, many cars with 18-inch wheels are equipped with thick flat tires, thus affecting the overall posture of the body. My suggestion is that if a car is equipped with 18-inch wheels, try to choose wide wheels that are flat and thinner. In this way, without affecting the tire grip, the posture is guaranteed and the visual effect is also very good. Because it is a rear-drive model, I chose the front and rear wheels. The front 8J and rear 9J tyres are 235 40R18 and 265 35R18. The overall effect is as I showed you.
At present, I have not changed the teeth and short springs, all the original factory configuration. At present, the first 3 fingers and the latter 2 fingers. The decrease of the overall posture is the result of the enlargement of the hub and the thinning of the tire. So far, the results are quite satisfactory.
Of course, during the modification process, the role of the wheel hub is also very obvious. The overall three-dimensional feeling of the tree-shaped wheel hub is very strong. Although the concave part is not obvious, because of the many hollow designs, the overall feeling is particularly light. When combined with the thin tires of the front 235 40 and the rear 265 35, the viewing angle is better.
The tire pressure is 2.5 in the front and rear. Is the overall effect very harmonious?
The overall width of the rear wheel is still very obvious. If the body is lowered, the rear wheel will bulge very obviously, which is super cool.
