60,000 kilometers to replace the double-sided engine foot shock absorber
This car did not drive for a long time, covering about 60,000 kilometers, and it was not driven violently.
Now the engine vibrates a little at idle speed, and the noise at idle speed is loud. There is also continuous vibration when increasing the oil. Even the seat of the A8 is transmitted. Even when the speed is above 100, inexplicable vibration will appear. At first, I thought it was the bottom guard. The guard was not installed properly or touched the edge, and the tires were dynamically balanced. The problem remains. I remember a cyclist mentioned in the forum that there was abnormal noise when the speed reached a certain point, and he was advised to check the bottom guard.
The numbing vibration has always existed, and I personally feel that the foot glue may not work. When I lifted it up, I saw that the driver’s side had leaked oil. After driving for so many years, I have never encountered this before. In previous cars, the foot mats of this part can be used for more than 100,000 kilometers. This is the first time I have encountered a broken condition less than 60,000 kilometers.
Black oil stains were found on the bottom of the shock absorber on the driver’s side. Damage was determined, but not seen on the co-driver’s side.
Physical objects are divided into wired and non-wired (that is, whether there is a bottom alarm). The price is the same.
After inspection and repair, the two metal parts of the car’s chicken feet had not yet touched each other, and the isolation tape in the middle had been torn, making it impossible to touch the bottom (the engine sank), triggering an alarm.
After disassembly, the 2015 A6 all foot shock absorber does not have a cord and does not have an alarm function.
The hole in the middle is the core foot (engine fixing point) for fixing the shock absorber.
It can be clearly seen that the left side is the driver’s position, and the right side is the passenger’s position. Static comparison of the two shock absorbers in this figure shows that the core foot on the left side has been severely displaced.
If there is a similarity, it is definitely not a coincidence.
