The MINI brand has a long history, with a British exterior and interior. After several changes of hands, it was finally acquired by BMW, but it still inherits part of the British style.
What was repaired today was an R56. The driver drove it in one hand and traveled 98,000 kilometers. The vehicle was reported to have serious oil consumption (the main problem) and high fuel consumption. The brake pads gave an alarm. After asking for information, we learned that the vehicle usually drives in the urban area, with few high speeds and occasionally small long distances. Daily oil three-filter maintenance, and almost no other maintenance. After we had a general understanding of the vehicle, we checked that it needed some repairs. Serious carbon deposits are mainly caused by burning oil. The spark plug needs to be replaced, the transmission has not been maintained, the oil leakage is leaking, the front brake pads are thin, and the problem of burning oil is dealt with.

For several years, the paint on this car was still original, and it was obvious that the owner was a car owner.

The maintenance list takes about two days. The details are not disclosed. The total maintenance cost is about a little more than 7,000 yuan.

The first cleaning can basically remove 80% of the carbon deposits on the top of the piston. Much better than the original situation. Too much carbon deposition will occupy the combustion chamber area and cause detonation and detonation, which is not allowed.

There is also a small amount of carbon deposits in the intake valve that needs to be cleaned, and we need to restore it.

Walnut sand equipment cleans intake carbon deposits, and dry ice cleans the combustion chamber well.

Oil leakage is one of the common problems of this machine. You can just change the sealing gasket. The authentic product is less than 200 yuan. There is no need to use auxiliary factory parts.

To replace the valve oil seal, the accessories on the cylinder head must be removed before it can be carried out.

This car was not maintained very well before, at least the oil was not very good.

The disassembled parts are placed in an orderly manner, especially those with tolerances.

Comparing the old and new oil seals, it is not that the eyes have become bigger but that they do not have much elasticity, and carbonization causes them to not seal.

Install the parts on the engine and calibrate the timing mechanism again.

Tighten and remove screws in an orderly manner.

The imported parts of the replaced valve chamber cushion are of the same quality as the original factory. The difference is LOGO.

It’s not easy to install the oil seat without dismantling it. It’s not easy to do lazy work…

The old spark plug has burned out. Replace 4 NGK spark plugs and apply silicon paste (insulation) to the ignition coil for easy installation. Spark plugs are graded.

The gearbox oil that was discharged was dirty enough and needed to be replaced.

Transmission oil We choose MEYLE transmission oil from Germany, or Aisin transmission oil from Japan (in short supply) and transmission oil produced by ZF Company. The former we chose had almost no fakes and reliable quality

I have been using the brand for many years, and the quality is assured.

The repair work is completed, and the cabin is cleaned and comfortable.
