The Mercedes-Benz E300L (W213) central control large screen corners were yellowed before the claim was made!
The screen had this kind of yellowing in the corners and corners before, especially when the dark underground garage screen had just turned on a full black screen, which was particularly obvious. I also reported it to the 4th store before, and the response to me was that it was normal.
This time, the insurance was issued. The Fourth S Store asked me to come to the store to do an insurance test. I mentioned it in the way and wanted to give it a try. I didn’t expect that the claim would be successful. As a result, in the last few days of the insurance release, Mercedes-Benz headquarters agreed to replace it, and they were very happy. You know, this screen cost RMB 39000 to buy for one.
But with a new screen installed, it still seems to have the same problem, although it is not so obvious.
I originally thought that it might be caused by the light entry method. Sure enough. This screen is just like the TV in my home. It does not light from the back but from the side, and the yellowed spots are actually light spots. So yellowing is an understandable normal phenomenon.
So, if you have the same problem, you can try and apply for after-sales replacement. If it really cannot be replaced and the symptoms are similar, in fact, the problem cannot be fundamentally solved, and it doesn’t matter whether it is replaced or not.
I took some pictures of the interface screws and bayonets behind the big screen. You may need them.
