Looking back, it should be that the oil seal began to fail and leak oil after the gearbox was overhauled. At that time, it was the end of May 2019. At the end of March this year, I felt that the driving quality was not good. When replacing the shock absorber and the surrounding complete set, the gearbox oil was replaced.(Looking at the chassis at that time, there was a lot of oil leakage, but I didn’t suspect that it was a leak from the gearbox oil seal.) The amount released was actually okay, but after refilling, the liquid level was normal until more than half a year in November. The gearbox oil actually kept leaking, and then the gearbox oil level fell below the lower limit, which affected the driving quality. It took a sip of 1L by yourself and restored the solid and steady driving quality of the old German system.

Driving in cold cars is very uncomfortable, and cars are reluctant to run without stepping on the accelerator… Looking at the 18-liter vat of so-called 3309 licensed automatic transmission oil produced by Mobil Taicang Factory, I basically judged that the fake was undoubtedly a fake. I thought that I had picked up a big bargain and actually lost a lot. This oil ran for 1.2w kilometers a year. The viscosity of the oil is very thick, and it has a pungent smell, which is very unpleasant. Normal Mobil 3309 transmission oil has been in contact with it for more than 10 years. The smell is not irritating and the viscosity is even thinner than engine oil.
I had to change the oil by gravity before, and the weather was also warm. In addition, I had replaced the front shock absorber and front wheel bearings, so my attention was focused on other places. After the temperature dropped this winter, the viscosity of the oil was estimated to be thicker, so I noticed that at the end of December, it was a small package of 3309, which relatively diluted the original oil, so I felt that it had improved…
After understanding the situation, the operation will be simple. Replace it with a new 3309 filter element as soon as possible, and post some photos for sharing later.
