6 From winter to spring, it’s time to give my explorers a big health care. Last time, I bought a batch of car supplies while there was an activity on the Internet. I happen to have time today, so come and change the season for my favorite car. (PS: all the items used in this article are purchased at my own expense, without any interest or recommendation. )
Before the official start, let’s wash the car first, so that you won’t get covered in mud when you operate for a while.
The fully automatic car wash machine is still very convenient, the key is that it costs no money.
These are the three brothers on the stage today, namely, air conditioner filter element, air filter element and wiper blade, which are all consumables. If you change them yourself, you can save a lot of money than in the store.
This time I used a boneless wiper, which looks like this after opening it, which is a little thinner than the one with bones.
First put the wiper up, this pair of my car is a bone wiper blade, looks sturdy, in fact, the effect is about the same, it depends on personal preference to choose it.
There is a lid that can be opened in this position of the wiper blade. Let’s open it first.
Then insert the hook on the wiper rocker arm through the hole in the lid, hook the bayonet inside and install it, and then cover the lid.
With both of them replaced, the wiper blade is very easy to replace.
Next, let’s replace the air conditioner filter element, which is the more difficult one of the three components.
After opening it, it will be like this, layer by layer.
There is also some information about the model and origin on the side, and the direction of installation is marked when it is most important, with the arrow facing down.
The air conditioner filter element is installed in the glove box, we need to remove the glove box first.
After opening the glove box, there is such a bayonet on the right side, which can be removed directly by pinching the protruding round head with your hand.
This is the state after taking it off.
Then we have to remove the top cover of the glove box. There are two bayonets in the place marked by me. Just break it open. This cover cannot be removed, and it is convenient for us to proceed to the next step.
This is the limit on the left side of the glove box.
This is the one on the right. After we take the upper cover apart, it is convenient to take it apart. We put a palm on each side of the hand, squeeze the glove box into the middle, and the whole glove box is removed.
The air conditioner filter element is in this lid, and now let’s open it.
See this part of my finger? This buckle is one on the left and right. When opening the lid, press the bayonet on both sides to the middle at the same time. Don’t break it out. It will never be opened.
After opening the lid, the air conditioner filter element can be taken out.
Comparing the old filter element with the new one, it’s not very dirty. I think I’ll stick to it for half a year, but since I’ve made so much effort to open it, let’s get a new one and remember to use it a little longer next time.
The arrow is facing down and loaded in the previous direction.
Then it is OK to install the glove box in the opposite order. When installing the glove box, pay attention to the bayonet that we removed first. The thing that sticks out can be retractable. If you find it shorter when you install it, you can no longer get stuck on the bayonet, just pull it out. In fact, this bayonet is responsible for adding a sense of damping to the glove box.
Then change the air filter element, this is relatively simple.
This is what happens when you open it.
Look on the other side.
Open the hood, there is such a box in the upper left corner of the engine compartment, which is the air filter element. Loosen the four screws I marked and the lid can be opened.
This is how the air filter element is installed in the car.
If you compare it with the new one, you can still clearly see that the old filter element has blackened.
There are still two leaves in the grid containing the filter element, so clean it up quickly.
Install the new filter element, then cover the lid, tighten the screws, and you’re done.
In fact, I also bought these two things this time. The two on the left are glass effervescent tablets, and the one on the right is the glass oil film remover. Now I still have glass water in my car. The oil film remover is convenient to use when I need to wash the car. I won’t show it to you today. I’ll introduce it to you next time.
It took less than an hour to wash the car and replace two filter elements and wiper blades. If these consumables can be replaced by themselves, they can also save a lot of money. Spring and autumn every year is the time for seasons to change. It is also the best time for vehicle maintenance to change seasons. Hurry up to give your car a full-body health care.
