I have been buying a car for more than a year without realizing it. This is my first car, so I had no knowledge about vehicle maintenance before I bought a car. Since joining the Motorists Club, under the leadership of various big shots in the group, I have embarked on the road of renovation and renovation.
The weather was getting colder, and I needed warm air in the morning. I found that the air quality in the car was worrying… So I decided to replace the air filter and air conditioning filter elements myself.

Change the air filter element first. This is relatively simple. Just loosen the four screws.

Remove the old air filter element to see how dirty it is… Use a wet tissue for a simple cleaning… There is a bright spot in the lower right corner

It’s not like I don’t know, but I’m shocked. For the sake of health, I must develop the habit of replacing the filter element regularly.

Get a new air filter element on the car, align it in position, and tighten the four screws.

Next is the air conditioning filter element. The explorer’s air conditioning filter element is inside the glove box. Our first step is to open the glove box, find the right lever, and remove it.

Then buckle the upper buckle towards the center of the glove box, one on the left and right sides. It is best to work with both hands at the same time.

Now the glove box has been completely removed

The air conditioning filter element also has a baffle, which can be lifted from the bottom up.

Dang…See the filter element! Be sure to remember the direction of the arrow and don’t put it upside down.

Routine, compare air conditioning filter elements

Plug the new air conditioning filter element in, and then install the glove box back. The steps of installing it back are the same as those of removing it, in reverse order, so I won’t repeat it here.

You’re done, try lighting it.

Turn off the stereo, close the door, turn on the air conditioner internal circulation, and listen for any abnormal wind (there will be a whistle if the air conditioner filter element is installed upside down ~)
