The reason why the ceramic carrier is as brittle as a cone now is that it has experienced high temperature.

There are several major reasons for the high temperature of the second exhaust!

1 fuel additive

Nowadays people especially like to use fuel additives, which in most cases can lead to an increase in exhaust temperature. The normal working temperature of the ternary catalytic converter is 250 ℃ ~ 1000 ℃. When the exhaust temperature exceeds 1000 ℃, the ceramic carrier will age rapidly. And after adding fuel additives to the vehicle, the exhaust temperature is almost common.

2 inferior fuel oil

Inferior fuel will have an impact not only on the engine, but also on the ternary catalytic converter. Inferior fuel combustion effect is not good, there is likely to be unfinished fuel in the exhaust pipe delayed combustion, which is also one of the reasons for the high exhaust temperature.

3 carbon deposition blockage

The carbon deposition of the engine will block the ternary catalyst as the exhaust enters the three-way catalytic converter. At this time, the back pressure of the exhaust will rise, and the excess heat will accumulate if the excess heat is not lost. It is really too easy to exceed a thousand degrees, and there is a great possibility that the ternary catalytic converter will be burned directly.
