Is there a good way for three-way catalytic cleaning?
In addition to the exhaust gas test, the car passed smoothly today. There was indeed a problem with the exhaust gas. The HC concentration exceeded the standard by more than twice, and the second test was still high. I said some good things and passed it. The inspector told me that the three-way catalyst was blocked or burned out. Let’s go and repair it.
After the review, I went to several repair shops and said that they did not have this business. I went to another house and said I would give up after I hit the drip, but it didn’t have much effect. Finally, I found a house and said that it was a new process. I used a special three-way catalytic cleaning agent (about 7 – 10 liters) to fill the cleaning agent from the oxygen sensor and soak it for 20 minutes, and then started the car to discharge the cleaning agent. From the exhaust pipe, I saw black liquid (no fine particulate objects) spraying out, and I felt that the three-way catalytic ceramic was already very dirty. At the same time, it was found that only part of the oxygen sensor was cleaned after soaking, and the surface was still black, like the bottom of a frying pan had been washed with a rag and water, and no metallic color was found. The conclusion is that the cleaning effect did not completely remove the carbon deposits.
I wonder if anyone in the altar knows any good way to explain it.
