Foreword: At present, all automobile fuel injectors adopt EFI design. According to the injection position, EFI is divided into three categories: single-point EFI, multi-point EFI and in-cylinder direct injection. Single-point EFI and multi-point EFI are generally used in traditional naturally aspirated engines; in-cylinder direct injection is mainly used in turbocharged engines and diesel engines. The EFI design can accurately control the injection volume. The fuel injection nozzle is equipped with a solenoid valve. When the solenoid coil is electrified, suction force is generated, the needle valve is sucked up, and the injection hole is opened. The fuel flows through the annular gap between the needle on the head of the needle valve and the injection hole. The gap is sprayed at high speed, forming a mist, which is conducive to full combustion. Recently, my car fault light gave an alarm. The body shook violently, which was caused by a lack of cylinders, but I have to go to the store to check the specific fault.

2. Replacement process
When the yellow engine light suddenly gave alarm while driving, I was surprised and didn’t dare to neglect and quickly drove to the local 4S store.
When I arrived at the store, the master used a computer to help me troubleshoot the problem, and initially concluded that there was a problem with the electronic control system.
After driving to the workstation, the master was helping me remove the cylinder and check the oil nozzle first.
I took a look at the throttle and it was still very clean.
There were a total of four fuel injectors. A battery and water were used to test the atomization effect of the fuel injector. It was found that one of the fuel injectors had a poor atomization effect and was intermittent. Although the other three were OK, they were all somewhat blocked.
Based on the store’s suggestions, I plan to replace it with a new set of fuel injectors.
To show the details, each oil nozzle has a total of four holes, and the quality of atomization has a lot to do with whether these four holes are blocked.

3. Summary
The reason why the fuel injector is blocked has a lot to do with the quality of gasoline. First, it is because the gasoline itself contains gums and impurities, or dust and impurities brought in during storage and transportation, which accumulate over time in the car’s fuel tank, oil inlet pipes, etc. Deposits similar to sludge are formed; secondly, unstable components in gasoline react at a certain temperature, forming colloidal and resin-like viscous substances. When these sticky substances burn in oil nozzles, intake valves and other parts, the deposits will turn into hard carbon deposits. In addition, due to urban traffic congestion, cars are often at low speeds and idle speeds, which will aggravate the formation and accumulation of these deposits. I usually don’t always have a fixed place for refueling, and there is a high possibility of adding inferior fuel, which leads to this time. When the failure occurred, the car no longer shook after replacing a set of fuel injectors. The acceleration was smooth, and timely maintenance was still necessary.
