Sister-in-law battery maintenance
The current temperature in Northeast China is basically below minus 20 degrees, and it is nearly minus 30 degrees at night. It is slightly better during the day. There is the sun, which shines on the car body and is very warm. The temperature is about minus 10 degrees. No matter how good the battery is, it cannot withstand the test of such a low temperature. I took advantage of the opportunity to go to work and removed the battery and put it in the house for a day. When I first brought it into the house, the battery was covered with frost. It has been left outside for more than half a month, so that the temperature of the battery is the same as room temperature. I used the charger to recharge the battery and charged it for nearly 10 hours. The battery has been used for two winters. It was not charged when I first bought it, and its performance is also very good. After a year of use, the power in the battery will definitely decline. Long-distance driving is relatively rare, and the battery cannot be charged. Basically, it is only short-distance driving, which will cause greater harm to the battery. Fully charging the battery once a year or so can also maintain the battery. Extend the life of the battery.
The low temperature in Qiqihar, Heilongjiang, coupled with the early dark and late light in winter in Northeast China, you use car lights and warm air when driving out. These two are big electricity users. They can drive for a long time, and the battery can be fully charged. Driving for a short period of time will come from the storage of the battery. Over time, the battery will lose value, ignition will become weak in the morning, or even the battery will be scrapped. Maintenance of the battery is very important in winter. If conditions permit, the battery can be charged. Extend battery life.
When I woke up in the morning, I obviously felt that the car started not as smoothly as in autumn. It was a little laborious. If it took about 2 seconds to start in summer and autumn, it would take four seconds in winter. I replaced it with a 5W30 Castrol magnetic protection. Logically speaking, the starting should be relatively smooth, but it was also due to the cold weather. The temperature is low, the battery performance is reduced, and various components are not fully lubricated. After a night of precipitation, the oil flows to the oil pan, and the fluidity of the oil is also relatively poor. The crankshaft is difficult to stir and takes longer to splash on various parts that need lubrication.
