I have been using it for 5 years. I have repaired a lot of things. Recently, I found that the wiper arm is rusted. It is the place where a piece of paint is missing. Due to the wind and sun all year round, it has rusted. There was definitely no problem with replacing it, but I preferred to repair it myself, so I decided to redo it.

As you can see, the rust is obvious.

A large piece of rust.

It’s also obvious from the inside.

Open the engine compartment and prepare to remove the wiper.

Pry up the protective cover with one word.

Inside is the fixing nut.

The sleeve of 13 is ready to loosen the nut.

Remember that it is the sleeve of 13.

It may not be easy to remove, especially if it has never been removed before. It may require a horse to remove it. I have removed it before, so I am not very worried.

Spray some WD40 first for lubrication, a good habit.

Then you can easily remove it.

The rest was left, leaving the bare poles.

Take it upstairs and take a closer look at the wiper arm.

The wiper interface also has rust and paint spots.

Prepare sandpaper and gloves.

Remove the retaining spring for thorough polishing.

For fine polishing, a set of small files is needed.

Small files play a very good role in some places.

Polishing is complete.

It’s okay.

Buy black self-paint. Of course, if you like other colors, you can also choose your own.

Because on the top floor, the stairs up are closed, giving me room to operate.

Spray it once according to the spray painting requirements and dry it.

Spray again in reverse.

Finally, the draft was completed and sprayed many times, in fact, once at a time, not too much at a time, and then inspected the uncovered areas and sprayed again, and so on.

Look at the details, it is relatively thick.

It would be better if there was a layer of clear paint.

Install the spring in place.

Load the truck.

OK, it’s dusk, and the color can still be seen. It’s brighter and the effect is very good.

Try the wiper to see if it hits each other and if the shadow does not affect it.

If it affects, fine tune it to ensure it is normal.
After my own troubles, I have perfectly solved the rust problem. I hope this problem has been truly solved, and the effect still needs to be further observed. At the same time, I was also thinking, would it be more beautiful if I painted it red? haha.
