[70] Replacement of ceramic brake pads for Mercedes-Benz E300L

The total mileage of my small Tuben is close to 60,000 kilometers. During the last maintenance, I could clearly see that the brake pads on the two rear wheels had become thinner; although the dashboard had not alarm yet, I still decided to replace them. Because I really can’t stand the black brake powder from the original Mercedes-Benz brake pads.
Taking advantage of this discount on the Double Eleven Day, I bought four-wheel Golden Kirin ceramic brake pads. After this replacement, the black brake powder will be completely eliminated; the wheel hub will be clearer and cleaner.
I hate cars that don’t brush their wheels when washing the car; their black, yellow stained wheels are really disgusting. For example, if you were wearing a new suit but your leather shoes were dirty, would you like it?
Speaking of ceramic brake pads, I used them when I drove the Laopa B5 more than ten years ago; I know ceramic brake pads very well. Moreover, I have always used brake pads from Golden Kirin. In terms of brake pads alone, Golden Kirin is no different from foreign brands; Baidu has various detailed explanations of it, so I won’t repeat it.
Ceramic brake pads, because there are ceramic fiber crystals, there will occasionally be a slight squeak when the brake discs and pads are at low temperatures, but after the brake discs temperature rises, there will be no sound. The higher the temperature of the ceramic sheet, the better the braking performance. It is especially suitable for continuous braking during long distances and high speeds, without worrying about the thermal attenuation of brake pads. But some people say that its feet feel a little harder. These are normal, so there is no need to worry too much. The life of ceramic brake pads is about 50% longer than that of ordinary brake pads, which greatly extends the service life of brake pads. After using ceramic brake pads, no scratch grooves (i.e. groove scratches) will appear on the brake disc, which is equivalent to extending the service life of the original brake disc by 20%. Overall, it is very economical.
Moreover, its biggest advantage is that there is no longer black brake powder on the front wheel hub. This is also the advantage that I personally like most!

The picture below is a photo of the brake disc sent to me by a classmate of “Hand in Hand for Tomorrow”. He has been using this disc for 9 years. He uses the ceramic sheet of the Golden Kirin. If you look at the wear on the disk surface, you can clearly see that there are no worn grooves (worn scratches) on this brake disc, and the entire brake disc is worn very smoothly and evenly. This is equivalent to extending the service life of the brake disc. Therefore, it is very economical for you to use ceramic chips.
The picture below shows the Jinqi ceramic pieces he replaced. He has been using them for 6 years and 80,000 kilometers. You can see that there is still a lot of remaining thickness of this brake pad, and it can be driven for another hundred thousand kilometers.
