Add gauze to the nostrils (vents) of small G (G50)

I went for maintenance last week. Because summer was coming, I replaced an air conditioner filter.

Of course there is dust in the air conditioner filter, but I found that there is still some debris. I don’t know how it got in.

The debris on the air conditioner filter seems to be plant-like things
Taking advantage of the rain this weekend, I had to stay at home. I took a closer look and felt that the grid here in the G50 wiper slot seemed a little big-if it stopped under a tree, small flowers might fall in, and catkins might also be moving in the car., blowing in with the wind.

Not only here, there are actually two rows of longer grids under the hood.

The grid here is actually not small. If it is a plant flower or seed, it can fall down.

The arrow points to the grid of the wiper slot. In fact, the front cover is open, and the grid inside is larger and longer (just that no debris should fall directly in)

This is what you look like from above, under the hood, with an adhesive strip blocking it in front; I think the debris is more likely to fall through the wiper slot

Looking down from here, there are many small flowers and other debris in the water guide channel below

Take a closer picture, but the phone is difficult to focus, and I haven’t figured out how to remove this cover to clean it (it seems difficult)
If small flowers can drop in from this grid, then it is also possible that the air conditioner filter will have debris when the air conditioner or ventilation mode is turned on (I know that there is an open channel air conditioning pipe at the water guide sink).

My idea is: Maybe we can use a gauze net to block the grid here to prevent debris from falling.

There is no better screen mesh at home, only a net bag for garlic. I took it to test it.

First cut the net bag into a rectangle, and then stick transparent tape on the edge (on the one hand, unfold the net bag, and on the other hand, it is easy to stick the 3M adhesive tape)

What the net bag looks like after it is unfolded (a little ugly)

Then put 3M tape on the scotch tape for easy fixing (it’s still ugly)

Because the grid of the wiper slot is not only not a regular rectangle, but also has a gap, the gauze made of a softer net bag is easier to paste

It will look like it after completion (still very ugly), but it means this, I hope it can achieve results

Because the gauze screen is red, but it is hidden here in the wiper slot, which can hardly be seen from the outside of the car

Compare it before and after the renovation

This looks from the same angle. If you don’t look at it deliberately, you can’t actually see it. I hope it will have an effect later.
The above is the record of my modification of small G nostrils, and I will see how the effect is after a while. (It’s a little ugly to use waste casually. Please forgive me)
