Final preparation: Replace the oil and water of the entire vehicle

It took me three years and 55,000 kilometers for my Sharan. Because I wasn’t sure what maintenance the original owner had done, after replacing the oil filter and air filter, I removed the spark plug and found that the original owner must have replaced it. The spark plug was not replaced. The transmission oil, brake oil and antifreeze could not be judged whether they had been replaced, so they could only treat it as if they had not been replaced. Now that the car has traveled to 58,000 kilometers, it is time to replace the above-mentioned oil products, but it is still reliable to replace them.
Recently, I have basically understood the maintenance of Sharan. I have prepared the oil and filter elements according to the amount of Sharan. They are all imported from the public. In fact, there is no need to use imported from the public. The main reason is that it is not easy to buy. We have to buy them online. This time, I am just giving it a try. I plan to buy FAW-Volkswagen or SAIC Volkswagen oil directly locally in the future.
Sharan uses 5 liters of gearbox fluid, 5 liters of antifreeze and 1 liter of brake fluid at a time.
In fact, you can also use FAW-Volkswagen’s, which can be cheaper and easier to buy.
The oil and filter elements used this time cost a total of 950 meters
The working hours for the three items are 300 meters
We should have found a repair shop that specializes in Volkswagen to exchange these things, because they must be familiar with the process and have special tools
But although I have been driving Volkswagen Touran for more than ten years, nothing has broken down in Touran except for normal maintenance, so there is no familiar repair shop specializing in Volkswagen.
Only one after-sales manager who used to be from a Dongfeng Citroen 4S store was familiar with the repair shop. He had also been the one who maintained Touran over the years, so he still opened it to his repair shop this time.
The boss said that although he had not changed Volkswagen dual clutch gearbox oil, the process was basically the same.
After waiting for the gearbox to cool down, the master began to drain the gearbox oil. This oil drain port is actually a filler port. The oil discharged is very clear. It seems that the gearbox oil is really different from the engine oil, so the oil change cycle does not need to be as short as the engine oil.

I changed the oil by gravity this time, and I put it out about 4.8L.

The transmission filter element is located under the battery, which is difficult to remove. I managed to replace the filter element by removing the empty filter box

The gearbox filter element is also very clean and complete

The boss is using a circulator to refuel the gearbox
Because they did not have a special refueling head, they pressed the refueling pipe with their hands to complete the filling of 5 liters of transmission oil.
I searched online and found that there are more than 30 special refueling units. When I buy one, I won’t have to work so hard next time, haha!

The replacement of antifreeze and brake fluid is nothing special and no different from other cars.
After starting the car for a while, the master loosened the oil drain screw to drain some oil, saying that it would not be good to have too much oil in the gearbox.
At this point, the replacement of transmission oil, brake oil and antifreeze has been completed.
In the future, I initially plan to change the transmission oil every 4-5 years/60,000 kilometers, and the brake oil and antifreeze every 4 years/30,000 kilometers.

Not a single trouble code.
