The W212 Mercedes-Benz E has experienced more than 10 years of wind and sun. Occasionally, there are some plastic buckles cracking problems on the car. Normally, you can use a plastic parts welding gun to hot-melt and splice them, but if the cracked plastic parts are not discovered and cleaned up in time, they may not be found. Today, I suddenly discovered that the seat belt cover on the back seat cracked and couldn’t find the fragments to repair.

After cracking, the original plastic parts were not cleaned up in time, and the original plastic parts could not be found. Moreover, two halves have been broken and a large horn is missing. What a headache.

Thinking about looking for a treasure, I found that there was only one, and the price was really not cheap. There is not the original car color I want yet. Forget it. I’m thinking about seeing if I can fix it.

1. Find some plastic at home and cut it out, patiently cut it into a shape similar to the left side. After fixing it with a 520 point, you can use a plastic welding gun to fuse the gap between the two plastic parts. If the cut plastic parts have many gaps and holes in the butt joint position, the plastic parts can be cut into small pieces and filled in the missing holes after hot melting. Heat melt and fill the break completely.

2. The plastic part hot melt gun tries to wipe the surface of the plastic parts as smooth as possible.

The same is true for the back. It is best to strengthen hot melt at the fracture site to reduce the gap.

3. Use sandpaper to polish the plastic parts at the hot melt to make their surfaces smooth and smooth. It was quite reluctant, but it still looked very ugly at this time.

4. Put on interior stickers. This depends on the craftsmanship. Anyway, my interior stickers have never been very good. I still use previous interior carbon fiber stickers to fit them.

5. The interior is decorated with a baking gun to heat it more closely. I don’t have one, so I just use a lighter to bake it a few times and press it tightly.

6. Installing the upper position saved another 130 yuan for Baihua. It’s just that the color is more prominent. If you can, try to find a sticker that is close to the original car interior to fit it, which is probably more authentic.

If you don’t look carefully, you can’t tell that it’s a spliced plastic part. A perfect ending.
