The 2011 Volkswagen Touran model that will be launched in March 2022 has been with me for nearly 11 years and has made countless contributions. In addition to normal maintenance and minor accidents during use,, I haven’t spent extra money, but it’s still relatively worry-free and money-saving.
Recently, I found that the chassis had a serious abnormal sound. In the past, the speed bump chassis also sounded during winter. I checked it at the 4s shop and said it was a rubber sleeve and a common problem, so I stopped worrying and continued to use it. Recently, I felt that the abnormal noise of the chassis was getting worse. Not only did the speed bump sound, but it also sounded when starting and braking decelerating. I found a repair shop on Saturday and checked it (4S was too expensive). It was just that the car had been used for too long, and the chassis was loose. I needed to replace the shock absorber. I made a quotation and felt that the price was okay, so I replaced it the same day. The glass lifter at the front left door is not working well, so we will replace it together this time.
Replacement list:
1. front shock absorber
2. rear shock absorber
3. lower swing arm
4. balance bar
5. transmission support
6. Front left door glass lifter
and did a four-wheel alignment.

Removed old lower hem arm

Remove front and rear shock absorbers (front reduction but not full)

Remove transmission bracket

New pre-reduction

New post-subtraction (already installed)

The front reduction combination has been installed and is ready to be installed on the vehicle

The lower swing arm has been installed, and it is ready for installation.

Tell me about how you feel after replacing it. First, the abnormal noise disappeared, the chassis is tight and resilient, and it feels like a new car.。I changed lanes quickly a few times on the way home, and it felt strong and there was no unnecessary shaking. It was still very good.

Although the size of the car is not small, the space inside the car is not small. The trunk can be filled with 5 people. It is very easy to use when visiting relatives during the New Year. Due to the small size of the car body, driving in the city is very flexible and parking is very convenient. The only thing I am not satisfied with is that the displacement is a bit small, but it is very fuel-efficient and very suitable for home use. Overall, I feel that Touran is a good car.
