Failure phenomenon: Occasionally, you can open the door and need to be lifted. When you lift it, you can hear the sound of something slipping. Thinking that the door lock was more important, Taobao bought Xingguang’s lock for 81 yuan. The workmanship was okay, but it had one less motor than the original lock to lock the motor. After locking the car, you will normally hear 2 sounds, but this only once. It is said that most of Volkswagen’s locks now do not have locking motors, and the reliability of opening doors should be higher if the missing thing is missing.
Next, we will start replacing, repairing, and disassembling the original locking block to find out the cause and repair it. This fault is definitely a trap deliberately left by public design.

I started to tear down the door. I won’t explain the details. There were many posts.

The buckle on this side can be unlocked by pressing it down hard without prying it, otherwise the buckle will easily be damaged

At first, I thought that most of the rivets inside were 6MM, but when I took apart the loudspeaker, it was 5MM, and I bought it big.

I used a 10mm electric rotary to turn the U-turn, but the rest was more difficult, so I borrowed a cutting machine.

Remove the 2 locking block bolts, then lift the glass, and then turn it seven and eight times, and you can take out the locking block from the bell mouth.

Red is starlight

Start installing new ones and install the inner handle wire

Fix the 2 bolts, and then the lock core can be installed. It is relatively simple and I didn’t take photos.

Cut off the rivet

Try it, it works well

The fault lock is disassembled below to find out the cause. This is the mechanical part after separating the control and mechanical parts. The main reason is that this part is faulty. If the control motor is partially normal,

At first, I thought it was a lack of oil, so I applied some lubricating oil

Apply the slider, but it was useless

The first thing I discovered was that this plastic slider did not enter the U-shaped groove

In this state, you slide into the U-shaped slot, and the door lock can be opened at this time, otherwise, the door cannot be opened by pulling it freely.

I don’t know what kind of material the cushion block is made of, but it has aged and shattered when touched.

Method: Make one of the limit buffer blocks with ab glue and cover the surface with iron pieces.

Wait for the ab glue to dry, take apart the control motor and add oil

This one has not yet added an iron piece, so it is just ab glue. If you take too many shots, it will be difficult to eradicate if the pad is too high.

Let’s see where it got stuck again.

The black plastic slider is not in the u-groove

The yellow buffer block at the u port of the locking link was also shattered. Replace it with silicone blocks

The buffer block is also failing

Looking at this position, you can enter smoothly at the slider and U-shaped port positions.

The door microswitch is already worn, and the starlight one has a protective iron sheet. This is also a pit.

The prerequisite is that the lock cylinder must be removed first, and the front door can be removed. The back door is unclear.

Done, ready to use as spare parts
