Regarding the sharp left posterior contour inner wall gap is a normal design

Perhaps some careful friends have discovered that the gap between the inner wall and the outline of the rear wheel on the cab side is very small. expressed concern about this. In fact, the original Ford factory has fully considered this issue and has made a full evaluation.

The normal gap here is about 9 to 10mm to avoid contact with the brake oil pipe on the back. There have been no cases of interference with the tire so far. If no interference currently occurs, the risk of high-mileage interference is low, because there will be slight deformation in the direction perpendicular to the ground after normal use, and theoretically the gap will expand in the axial direction. The design gap here is about 9 to 10 mm. Through all current test verification, there is no interference risk.

Therefore, friends who have discovered this situation don’t have to worry. Don’t go to a 4S store to handle it. Unless there is real interference.

At present, some friends blindly go to the 4S store for processing without knowing the situation. The 4S store has added a buckle or used a cable tie. This has been communicated with the manufacturer:
Conclusion:
1. The increase in ties or buckles will risk friction with the tubing.
2. Tie straps or buckles will easily age after being used for a long time, and are not the fundamental solution.

The current conclusion given by Ford manufacturers is that the design is normal and does not need to be processed. Please know.
