#Puzzled in the battle #Suggest checking seat belts in the same batch as me
Wowo’s obsession with safety is a gene that goes deep into the bone marrow! My new XC60 has been used for a year. While doing basic maintenance, the repair technician conducts a routine inspection of the vehicle and proactively reminds me to replace the defective seat belt. At that time, he looked confused, but on closer inspection, he found that it was indeed the case. The seat belt had a rough edge. I really didn’t expect the safety inspection of the nest repair technician to be so meticulous!
You can clearly see that the seat belt has a rough edge
Careful observation found that the reason for the burrs lies in the green circle. That is, the metal in the green circle is not completely wrapped by plastic, causing the seat belt to rub repeatedly during repeated retraction, which in turn causes accelerated wear and burrs of the seat belt!
Because many problems that arise in modern industrial products may be related, the main reason is that suppliers may have the same flaws in the same batch of supplies! My car was made in August 2019, and it is recommended to observe whether there is this problem for cars manufactured around the same time.
You can check the manufacturing date from this box

In this regard, I also put forward several suggestions to Woyou for reference only:
First, look at the production time of your car and see if it is about the same time as mine. If it is about the same time, there is a possibility that there are the same problems;
Second, check whether the seat belt in the main driver’s seat has been roughened;
Third, check whether the seat belt insertion and removal buckle is not completely wrapped with metal edges like mine, which is the direct cause of the burr problem;
Fourth, see if other seat belt plug-in and out bayonets have the same or similar problems. If there are, go to the 4S store to apply for replacement in time.
Below, let’s share the entire process of replacing the seat belt in the 4S store with warranty:
