This is a complete set of Bosch spark plugs, FQ5NPP332S, double platinum, enough for civilian cars. One advantage of purchasing a complete set is that the manufacturer has screened the resistance value of the spark plug, and the closest resistance value matching makes the ignition of the four cylinders achieve the best balance.
The product is not as good as the advertisement. Take a look at the publicity, it is really not good for Niu bi.
Double platinum, claimed to be able to replace 60-80,000 kilometers, if according to the current factory with 20, 000 can run 50, 000, then the normal use of this pair of platinum, 100000 kilometers should do more than it, ha. But I won’t take the risk. I don’t want to leave me on the road because of the spark plug failure, and the next 80,000 kilometers will be replaced.
This is a technical parameter, the main thing is to understand the thread length, thread diameter, calorific value of these three parameters.
After introducing the spark plug, let’s get started. Below the four red circles shown in the picture are four rubber mounting seats, plug-in, hands on the red circle in turn to pull up to remove the engine decoration cover. Don’t be afraid, just push.
Then, with a 10 wrench, unscrew the nuts in the 4 red circles, remove 4 ground wires, and then unscrew 4 bolts. The next step is to use a word screwdriver to gently pry the plastic buckle on both sides of the ignition coil connection, open the protective cover, and then press the ignition coil plug buckle to pull out the ignition coil plug from left to right.
After all unplugging the ignition coil, as shown in the above picture, you can grasp the ignition coil by hand and pull out the ignition coil body in turn, which is not very tight and is much easier to pull than the previous Polo ignition coil.
Then use the spark plug wrench in the following picture to screw out the spark plug counterclockwise and place it neatly in turn.
Spark plug sleeve, Volkswagen spark plug sleeve specifications, most of them are 16, do not choose this kind of sleeve, you can also use an extended ordinary 16 sleeve with rubber ring inside.

After careful observation, the original spark plug has no burning damage, no crack in porcelain, no obvious carbon deposition, and the electrode gap is within the allowable range. At the same time, the color is yellowish, which belongs to normal rarefied burning symptoms. I think the spark plug can continue to be used for at least 20,000 kilometers. But I have to replace it, ha. Just let it put my tool power as a spare, just in case.
The tail of the spark plug was coated with insulating grease when it was installed, and the spark plug set I bought was not equipped with it, which should be criticized by Bosch.
This is what it looks like to remove the spark plugs.
The installation is simple, follow the reverse process of disassembly, and press the ignition coil to the end.
When tightening the spark plug, use a torque wrench to tighten the spark plug with the torque of 30Nm.
If there is no torque wrench, hold the wrench until it feels difficult, and then twist it again for 4 laps.
The bolts and nuts of the grounding wire are fastened by 9Nm, and intuitively fastened without a torque wrench.
In this way, the work of changing the spark plug is completed at once, and the money saved can be deposited in the bank, you can buy tools, you can have a meal with a girl, and you can do a lot of things, but one thing is not good, that is, the auto repair factory and 4s stores make less money.
