Hands-on teaching you how to replace spark plugs
Tools You need a pair of gloves, a wrench, and a brand new set of spark plugs. You also need a tube of high-voltage insulating silicone grease and a few cotton swabs. This is only a few yuan online. Generally, if you buy spark plugs online, you will have matching products.
Open the engine guard in cold condition
Everything is ready and ready to start. First of all, open the engine guard when the car is cold. Remember that it is a cold car. If the car has just been driving for a while, please wait until it cools down before replacing it. This way, it is safer.
Start working, check in the hood, and find the lightning sign on the battery or engine panel.
Remove the fixing screws of the ignition coil
You can see that each ignition coil has two fixing screws. We have to remove this screw first.
Then, you need to use a 6mm socket wrench to remove the screws. These fixing screws are very tight, so you need to use some strength when removing them.
Use a wrench to remove the spark plug
After removing it, the ignition coil can be pulled out. After pulling it out, you can look inside and see the spark plug. At this time, use a 16 mm socket wrench to take out the spark plug.
The cheap socket wrench we used at the beginning for more than ten yuan did work, but it was extremely laborious and inefficient, so we still used our own ratchet wrench later on. Of course, if you have better tools, you can do it.
Remove high-voltage ignition cord
The sleeve fits the threaded hole and turns it with a wrench
Pull out piston
Avoid breaking the thin wire when replacing it
Comparison between old and new
Then, put the ignition coil back on, and then tighten the fixing screw to replace a spark plug.
It is also recommended here that when friends change, remove one by one. If you remove all four of them at the same time, you may replace them incorrectly, which is a very troublesome thing.
Then the operation for the last three spark plugs is the same. Just remove the ignition coil, take out the old spark plug, rub in the new spark plug, and then install the ignition coil back.
