The family’s 2016 C200L car has been driving 55000 kilometers for four and a half years. Recently, the meter suddenly signaled “auxiliary battery failure” every few seconds, but the driving is normal and the automatic start and stop are normal. I found out that this problem in the car is common. The reason is that the C8 capacitor is broken. Some riders in the forum have already replaced it by themselves. I believe that I, who has played Old Liberation, can do it, so I bought a new one from a certain treasure to replace it by myself. First of all, I would like to make a statement: Replacement, taking photos, and code words are all non-professional. Everyone, please use your words and feel good if you don’t like it! Above picture:
Fault warning. Although it does not affect driving, it jumps out every few seconds, which makes the family annoying.
The origin is known as Romania. I don’t know if it’s true
On Sunday morning, I drove the car to the ground of the community to find a random open space and prepare to start work. My old eyes are blurred, I can’t see the basement
First adjust the seat to the end, take out the foot pads, and then pull out the carpet bit by bit along the edge (please ignore the track of the driving recorder)
What the carpet looked like after it was taken out
Remove the three screws on the front plastic plate with a small sleeve of 10 and remove the plastic plate
By the way, if replacing the built-in air conditioning filter element requires removing the plastic plate with the light on it and climbing down and looking up to operate, I have replaced it twice, which is more laborious than replacing the C8 capacitor. This design of Mercedes-Benz is a big negative review!
Remove the plastic board and see the protagonist of the day.
Fixed with a screw on the top and easily removed
For comparison, the appearance is exactly the same, but the last four bits are coded differently
Carefully unplug the plug (the plug is a little difficult to pull out, you need to use a small screwdriver to lift out a plastic clip) and replace it with a new one
Ignition test, the fault prompt disappeared, and the fault was eliminated!
Install the new parts in place, then install the plastic sheets, carpet (the periphery of the carpet is enclosed under the plastic covering), floor mats, and return the seat to its original position, and you’re done. If the whole process is not taken for up to 20 minutes without taking photos, it is more convenient than replacing the built-in air conditioning filter element before. As an old driver, I still feel very fulfilling. I wonder how much money it will cost to replace it with 4SSSS?
This post hopes to help car owners who have this problem.
Once again: I am not a professional. I hope that everyone will show mercy to officials, accumulate some morality, and don’t spit if you don’t like it!
