1. Reason for replacement:
After nearly five years of using the car, Xiaobai’s fuel tank lid rope was unfortunately torn by a fuelman while refueling a year ago. Recently, careful observation of the fuel tank cover rope shows that it has aged and cracked. It is stuck with universal glue, but it will also break in other places. After watching riders replace fuel tank lid ropes, I realized that fuel tank lid ropes could be purchased online, so I immediately placed an order and prepared to replace the fuel tank lid ropes.

2. Replacement of tools:

3. Replacement process:
Press the unlock button, and then press the fuel tank cap to open the fuel tank cap.
Pull off the broken fuel tank lid cord at the upper part.
I plan to use pliers to clamp a soft towel to pull out the pin on the upper part of the fuel tank cap.
As a result, the pin was pinched off with pliers. Careful inspection revealed that the pin and the entire plastic felt to be formed in one piece. Without careful observation, it was directly and arbitrarily damaged
This is a pinched pin head. Put it away and stick it on with universal glue when there is time.
Turn clockwise and unscrew the fuel tank cap.
The inside of the fuel tank cap has a production date of September 2015.
The fuel tank cap cord and the fuel tank cap are connected together with two cylindrical pins.
Take out a fine-pointed screwdriver and push the pin from the inside out. (It’s easier to open the pin by pushing it from the inside out.)
Push slowly and harder, and the pin will soon push out.
Continue to push open the second pin.
These are the pins that are pushed out to connect the fuel tank cap cord and the fuel tank cap, two very small things.

Pull outwards with your hand and the old fuel tank cap cord will come out.
This is the removed fuel tank lid rope. It has been severely aged and cracked and can no longer be used.
Take out the purchased fuel tank cap cord with two small pins and a large pin on top. (Looking at the big pin on the belt, it shows that the fixing big pin can be removed. Is mine blocked by dust and thought it was integrated?)
Take out the new fuel tank cap cord. The new fuel tank cover rope is full of elasticity and has no quality problems.
Insert a new fuel tank cap cord into the fuel tank cap.
The new fuel tank cover cord is a little wide on both sides, so you can only use a screwdriver to hold it on both sides and put it in.
Align the oil tank lid cord holes with the holes on the oil tank lid.
Start installing the small pin that secures the tank lid cord.
Use a screwdriver to push slowly and firmly. (Pushing the pin from the outside inward makes it easier to enter.)
Install the second pin in the same way.
After the two pins are fixed, the fuel tank lid rope is fixed.
Hang the tank lid cord to the large pin on the tank wall.
Screw on the fuel tank cap and the fuel tank cap cord is installed.
This is a comparison of the fuel tank cover ropes before and after installation. The effect is not bad.

1. Many small parts can be purchased online, so install and replace them yourself.
