After the glove box is removed from the limit, you can see the cover plate of the air conditioner filter. The filter cover of the air conditioner is fixed by six limit cards, and the three clips at the red arrow are pulled down gently, or you can pry lightly with a flat screwdriver.
The three positioning cards under the air-conditioning filter cover plate are plug-in type, after the upper three are pulled open, lift up slightly, the whole cover plate is removed, at this time you can see the air-conditioning filter element.
The installation position of the air conditioning filter element is relatively narrow, so it is difficult to pull it out with a flat screwdriver, or you can hold a few felt hairs with your hands. The air conditioning filter is drawer type and is not fixed.
This is the cover of the removed air-conditioning filter, the top three are light truck positioning bamboo shoots, and the lower three are plug-and-pull positioning ports. Take it down and take a picture, so you can see it more clearly.

After the air-conditioning filter element is fully pushed in, the air-conditioning filter cover plate is first inserted into the lower three ports, and then the upper three positioning cards are gently pushed in, and there will be a slight “cata” sound.
If the damper connecting rod on the right side of the glove box falls off during the operation, just insert it back into the empty position. When you plug it back in, you will encounter resistance when you just go in. Gently push hard and you will be in place.
When the filter element of the air conditioner filter is installed, hold the left and right positioning cards above the glove box and push the glove box symmetrically back to its original position. Then you can ignite and start the air conditioner for trial operation.
Internal and external circulation, all kinds of air outlet methods can be operated, everything is normal. After the air conditioner filter element was replaced, the air in the car immediately changed, and the fishy smell was completely removed.
To tell you the truth, the air filtration function in the Tange air conditioning system is still very good. Turn on “CLEAN AIR” to drive for a smoke, and the next time you get on the bus, you can hardly smell the smoke.
