After inspection, it was found that it was caused by an internal failure of the thermostat. This kind of failure is a common problem in MINI. It can be solved by replacing the thermostat. At the same time, the vehicle is driving nearly 60,000 kilometers, so the gearbox oil and brake oil are replaced together (the oil is replaced by three filters).

The water pipe from the water pump to the thermostat may crack due to aging during disassembly, causing secondary maintenance.

Maintain the gearbox. Replace the filter and the gasket at the strong request of the owner. The filter of this car is made of metal and has a certain difference from traditional paper. Under the limited budget, cleaning can also be done, but the gasket is recommended to be replaced once.

A screw on the oil pan is not easy to remove, so it can still be removed.

Clean impurities inside the oil pan and replace with new gasket (ZF)

Add fully imported transmission oil.

Pour out as much oil as you can, add new gearbox oil, change 4-5 liters of oil by gravity, and change about 10-12 liters in circulation. Each has its own advantages and disadvantages.
