Friendly tip: (I am willing to share, willing to toss about, the description in this article is only a personal understanding, does not represent a professional, just want to share the process with riders, accept any riders or professional technicians advice, correction. Please refer to it carefully and imitate it. I hereby declare that all the consequences have nothing to do with me. Sincerely hope to have a little help to cyclists, reference, a lot of exchanges, learn from each other car maintenance experience. Due to the recent theft of a lot of posts, so the picture with watermark, thank you for your support and understanding)

I have been driving 40000 kilometers for more than 3 years, commuting to and from home. I still feel good. I usually maintain and maintain myself, and I firmly do not ask for help. It is also very powerful. I have never lost my temper with me. The car is in good condition and the fuel consumption is economical. Let’s say this. I have to talk about how to change the brake oil myself.

Every car has a braking system, which plays a vital role in the car, and it is also the cornerstone of a car safety.

Braking system function: when the car is driving, it slows down or stops according to the driver’s request, or decelerates or temporarily stops in time when going downhill and in various road conditions, as well as parking.

Types of brakes:
Automobile braking system is generally divided into two types: 1, air brake (air pump driven by engine, compressed air stored in a gas storage tank, when the driver presses the brake pedal, so that the gas executes to each brake sub-pump, to achieve the purpose of deceleration or parking) is generally used for large and medium-sized trucks, passenger cars, and so on.

2, oil brake (this is easy to understand, that is, the use of brake oil, also known as brake fluid, when the driver presses the brake pedal, brake fluid produces pressure, so that each brake sub-pump work, to achieve the purpose of deceleration or parking) is mostly used in agricultural vehicles, mini-transport vehicles, cars and so on.

Braking mode: there are drum brakes and disc brakes, also known as disc brakes. This is easy to understand, so let’s not say any more. Today, we mainly talk about the oil brake system and how to change the brake oil by ourselves.

Tools for preparing materials: two bottles of original DOT4 brake oil, (single bottle 500ml) pump (if there is no pressure for shampoo bottles), 2 mineral water bottles, one 6 “hose, one M10 opening wrench (small movable wrench is also available) (also need an assistant to help you step on the brake pedal, that is to say, it takes 2 people to change the brake oil)

Specific steps: 1 to remove the original brake oil, 2 to add new brake oil, 3 to discharge each sub-pump old brake oil. 4 discharge the old brake oil of the clutch pump, 5 test run.

Oil discharge sequence:
The order of discharging the old brake oil should be far and then near, one after another, and then the front wheel. Because most brake lines are “X” type, in order to prevent the mixing of new and old oil, the oil change should start from the left or right rear, such as 1 left rear wheel, 2 right front wheel, 3 right rear wheel, 4 left front wheel. (but this is not absolute, because different models are for reference only)

With pictures, my rookie

You are the brightest star in the night sky, (personal preference thanks for understanding)

The car runs 40,000 kilometers in three years, just for household use and commuting to and from work. I really don’t have time to go out. I’m ashamed.

Get on the artifact and make your own oil pump. Can pump oil, brake oil, power oil, and so on.
Start the operation

First of all, the vehicle stops in a ventilated and flat place, turn off the engine and tighten the handbrake.
Open the cover and find the brake oil kettle (in front of the vehicle battery). Unscrew the lid and take out the filter.

The brake oil has been very black for 3 years, and it is usually changed every two years.
No more than three years at the latest, because the brake oil has strong water absorption, and the moisture increases over a long time, which will lead to the rust of the brake sub-pump, the non-return wheel increases the resistance, the fuel consumption will rise, and the moisture will produce air resistance due to frequent braking for a long time. The braking effect decreases, and the braking distance can not be ignored.

Pump all the brake oil out of the brake oil bottle (there is no pump, you can use the pressure of the shampoo bottle)

Pull out the old brake oil about 300ml, and some of it is in the pipe.

Chery original factory dot4 brake oil, why prepare two bottles? Because 2 bottles can be completely replaced.

Clean the old brake oil from the brake oil kettle and add new brake oil.

Add all the 500ml to the oil pot and set aside another bottle.

On the left is the old brake oil, and in the kettle is the new brake oil. Compare it.

To start the operation, pour some old brake oil into the empty bottle in order to avoid air backflow when discharging the old brake oil.

Then put the pipe into the water bottle and insert it into the bottom of the bottle so that the oil surface exceeds the pipe.

M10 open wrench, pipe and bottle are ready.
Let’s start with the right rear wheel.

Remove the rubber dust cap from the oil discharge port of the right rear wheel sub-pump and insert the pipe into the oil discharge screw.

The other end of the pipe is in the bottle.

At this time, let the assistant sit in the main driver continuously lift the brake pedal, until it can not be stepped on, do not let go, do not let go. The point has been said three times.
At this point, open the oil screw counterclockwise with an M10 wrench, and the old brake oil will flow into the bottle. Tighten the screw immediately after waiting for the brake oil to stop flowing, and tell the car assistant to loosen the pedal. Then step on it a few more times (every wheel does it this way)

Repeat the above steps, each sub-pump will flush the pipe for 2 or 3 times, until the new brake oil appears in the pipe, finally tighten the oil discharge screw clockwise and finish the oil discharge on the right rear wheel.

At this time, let the assistant observe in time to add brake oil to the oil kettle, the liquid level is not too low to avoid entering the air.

And then the left front wheel.

Take off the rubber dust cap.

Insert the tube, then let the assistant sit in the main driver and continuously step on the brake pedal until it doesn’t work, and don’t let go. Drain the old brake oil, tighten the screws and loosen the pedal.

Then continue in order, left rear wheel, right front wheel. Add brake oil to the kettle in time at the end of each wheel. Prevent the line from entering the air.
(I drilled the bottom of the car to put oil, and I didn’t take pictures at the back and the front of the right, hoping to understand)

The brake oil for the four wheels has been replaced, so don’t think it’s over.
In fact, there is no change in the clutch brake oil, most family cars are brake clutches share an oil pot, Ruihu 3 is no exception. In other words, the clutch also uses brake oil, so the clutch also releases the old brake oil.
If you go to the repair shop to change brake fluid, the repairman generally will not take the initiative to change the clutch fluid for you. 1 It is too troublesome or increases the working hours. 2 The repairman ignores it, or simply does not think that the clutch needs to be replaced as well. 3 The unscrupulous technician would not tell him at all. Who is so easy to tell you like me? Hahaha.

The oil draining method is basically the same as above. Ask the assistant to sit on the main driver and step on the clutch pedal three times in a row, keep stepping on it and not letting go. Use an M10 wrench to drain the oil until you see new oil flowing out of the pipe, and tighten the screws.

Everything is done, check the liquid level of the brake oil can, and add brake oil to the correct scale line.

Final test: The clutch is obviously much lighter than before. The test brake and clutch are normal.

I am purely a personal hobby. I usually like to check and maintain my car by myself. I am happy to share, use, maintain, repair, maintain, decorate, etc.(does not represent professionalism, but is for reference only). I hope to help my car friends. Thank you for your support.
