My Chase Automatic Elite version does not include tire pressure monitoring, which is very inconvenient. In winter, the tire pressure is often too low in time, resulting in increased fuel consumption and serious tire wear. Some time ago, I installed an external monitor, connected with Bluetooth, and no need to wire. The mainframe is placed on the left side of the front windshield, making it very convenient to observe tire pressure! Especially when running at high speeds in summer, if you see that the tire pressure and temperature are too high, you will go to the service area to take an appropriate rest to ensure driving safety!
The good times don’t last long. Recently, when I was running at high speed, the tire pressure monitoring mainframe suddenly sounded an alarm, and the tire pressure value flashed. I quickly slowed down to the emergency lane to park and checked the tires. No abnormalities were found. After several alarms were issued, the mainframe was also normal. Later, it was discovered that the tire pressure and temperature values of the front wheels had not changed.
After consulting the seller, I learned that this situation should be due to the detector battery being dead. Following the seller’s instructions, I bought this button battery and replaced it myself.
When disassembling, first loosen the fastening nut on the inside of the probe clockwise with a special small wrench, and then screw down the monitoring head counterclockwise.
Use a small wrench to fix the bottom of the monitoring head and turn the cover counterclockwise to open the upper edge of the monitoring head. After opening it, you can see the top button battery.
Just push the battery directly out from the edge and replace it with a new battery. Just note that the battery is positive facing up. Then use a small wrench to fix the bottom of the monitoring head and screw the cover on clockwise. Make sure to tighten it tightly to ensure that the battery is in good contact and the cover will not leak.
Finally, install the monitoring head on the valve core. First tighten the monitoring head clockwise, then screw out the fastening nut on the valve core counterclockwise, close to the monitoring head, and tighten it with a small wrench. It will be OK.
Restart the mainframe and confirm that the monitoring head is automatically matched, the tire pressure and temperature are displayed normally, and it’s a perfect job!
If the probe fails to match automatically, just follow the instructions and match manually.
