Unfortunately, this time the engine alarm light came on again, and the engine shook much more than before. I was worried that the engine would stall on the way to the 4S shop. So I called a trailer to drag Xiao Xin to the store for repair.

2. Replacement process

Arriving at the store, because the fuel injection nozzle was replaced with a new one last time, this time I had to consider the fault from other places. In order to confirm the speculation, I specially replaced the oxygen sensor from other vehicles. As a result, the conclusion reached by the test was completely consistent with the speculation. This time, two accessories need to be replaced, the front oxygen sensor and the rear oxygen sensor.

This is the old front and rear oxygen sensor removed by the shop master. You can see that the surroundings are rusty and the joints are gray and black.
The next step is to push the new oxygen sensor on.
At the end of the test drive, you can see that the smoke discharged at the beginning is gray and the surrounding is white smoke.
Gradually, the smoke became less and less, and the water sprayed out spread all over the floor, proving that the gasoline was burning fully, the engine stopped shaking, the sound was reduced, and the fault was solved.
The total cost of parts and working hours this time was 1118 yuan.

Afterwards, I discussed with the master in the store and learned that the role of the front and rear oxygen sensors is to determine whether there is excess oxygen in the exhaust gas after the engine burns, that is, the oxygen content, and convert the oxygen content into a voltage signal and transmit it to the engine computer, so that the engine can Achieve closed-loop control targeting excessive air factors; Ensure that the three-way catalytic converter has maximum conversion efficiency for all three pollutants in exhaust gas: hydrocarbons, carbon monoxide and nitrogen oxides, and maximize the conversion and purification of emitted pollutants. If a fault occurs and the oil-gas mixing ratio is not accurately adjusted, the ECU makes a mistake in judgment at this time, and there is an error in its control of the oil-gas mixing and ignition time through the actuator, thereby reducing the power output of the vehicle and causing jitter. After replacing the new front and rear oxygen sensors, the car no longer shakes, the acceleration is smoother, and the fuel consumption is also reduced. It seems that we still have to add oil from regular channels to avoid such failures.
