I have always wanted to replace the spark plug. I bought the spark plug at EBAY. It has been some time, but I haven’t used it because of the lack of torque wrenches. At the end of December 2019, I went out once, and on the way, I drove out of the parking lot once. I found that the vehicle was shaking badly. This has happened before, but the shaking disappeared after continuing to drive for a while, but this time I didn’t dare to stop halfway, afraid that it would not start after stopping, so I drove about 10 kilometers. When I arrived at the dining place, I stopped and went to eat. After dinner, I found that the vibration disappeared when I drove again. But it also strengthened its determination to replace the spark plug.
After preparing the tools on the network, we started to replace them recently. The replacement went smoothly. What needs to be noted is that if conditions permit, we can finally blow the cabin with high-pressure air, especially near the spark plug. I tear down an old one, install a new one, and bring it one by one; there is no need to unplug the high-voltage wrapped wire, and basically you can take out the spark plug connector with the wire.
The old spark plug has a small gap and seems to be working.
Another thing is, the old spark plug model Y7 MPP33, and the new model YR7 MPP33 is missing the letter “R”, BOSCH.
Spark plug sleeve, 16MM, and the torque wrench is set at 23NM. After the spark plug is loosened, it is best to use a special spark plug wrench to take out or put in the spark plug, because the special spark plug wrench has a rubber inside. It can cover the ceramic part of the spark plug, which is equivalent to clamping the spark plug and can be handled gently.
