This Corolla accompanied our family through almost four years and January through ups and downs. In my memory, in addition to the routine maintenance for 10000 kilometers, I changed brake oil and simply cleaned the throttle myself in 40,000 kilometers. There is really nothing else. Now it is almost over 90,000 kilometers. The original plan was to carry out a comprehensive maintenance at 100,000 kilometers. But recently I found that sometimes driving the car does not feel so smooth.
I have always wanted to make money. I want to go to the 4S shop in advance to complete the 100,000-kilometer plan. Many riders said that I have a lot of money and have to wait until at least 100,000 kilometers, okay. Just clean the throttle yourself.

Because I cleaned myself once a year or two, I have some impression in my heart. The steps are vague. Follow your feelings and first open the engine guard (plastic cover with LOGO on it) to find the position of the throttle.

Of course, it is best to unhook the upper cover that secures the air conditioning filter element first, so that it will be easier to operate.

Here, clean up the dust on the engine and see if there is any oil leaking. After a round inspection, the results were expected and there were no leaks.

Wipe it again. Since it was 9 p.m., I just handled it simply. In addition, there were no other auxiliary tools.

Before starting work, it is best to pay attention to and observe the conditions of some lines and pipes connected to the throttle valve to avoid damage and breakage.

The air filter element that was taken out didn’t seem too dirty, so let’s stick to it for another 10,000 kilometers.

First loosen the fastening screws on the periphery of the air duct (the black rubber pipe shown above), and then pull it out.

Find the four nuts on the throttle and loosen them to separate the throttle.

The metal semicircular net I saw after separation was still relatively dirty, and I don’t know what it did.

When I was cleaning the bottom of the box, I found that there was still a bottle of carburetor cleaner. I used 3M before, so I’ll use this this time.

On the way, I suddenly remembered that there seemed to be a step to disconnect the negative pole of the battery, but I wasn’t sure if there was any specific step. Anyway, just disconnect it.

After cleaning the throttle valve, the throttle valve here needs to be turned on and electrified. Step on the accelerator to make the throttle valve open for thorough cleaning.
Here I use a jack to hold the accelerator and open the key (the ignition cannot be ignited).

Restore and install it.

Follow the disassembly steps for restoration.

If you don’t wear gloves, you must pay attention to wearing a handbag to work.

Install the engine upper cover guard and complete the ignition.

The time returned to 1:00 because of the power outage.

After ignition, the engine speed instantly reached 3000 rpm at the first moment, then dropped to 1000 rpm, and finally stabilized at 700-800 rpm. The opening degree of the damper will change after cleaning and will automatically adjust after driving for a certain distance.
