Flex Fuel Vehicles (FFVs) are designed to operate on more than one type of fuel, usually gasoline blended with either ethanol or methanol, up to 85% (E85). They come equipped with an internal combustion engine capable of adjusting the fuel blend, automatically sensing the ratio of gasoline to ethanol/methanol and adjusting the vehicle's fuel injection and timing accordingly. This flexibility allows for reduced dependence on fossil fuels and can lower emissions, aligning with environmental goals. However, the energy content of ethanol is lower than that of gasoline, which can result in slightly reduced fuel efficiency. Despite this, FFVs represent an important step towards more sustainable transportation by utilizing renewable resources like corn (from which ethanol is commonly derived) and decreasing overall greenhouse gas emissions.
Docker Engine is an open-source containerization technology that allows developers to package applications into containers—a standardized executable component combining application source code with the operating system (OS) libraries and dependencies required to run that code in any environment. This decoupling allows the container to run across different environments (development, testing, production) seamlessly, as it contains everything needed to run the application. Docker Engine acts as a client-server application with a server-side daemon process (dockerd) handling the containers, images, networks, and storage volumes. The client-side CLI (command-line interface) allows users to interact with Docker through commands. Docker Engine can run on various operating systems, including Linux, macOS, and Windows, making it an essential tool for developers aiming for efficiency and consistency in the deployment and scaling of applications.
Docker Engine is an open source technology used for containerizing applications. By separating applications from infrastructure. it allows for quick software delivery. It includes a lightweight runtime and tools for managing and scheduling containers. The Engine features a production daemon. a REST API. and a CLI client for communication. Each Docker image contains all necessary components such as code. databases. and configuration files in one executable package.
The IC engine operates by converting chemical energy from fuel into mechanical energy. It follows a multi-step operating cycle. including intake. compression. combustion or power. and exhaust strokes. The intake stroke involves the piston moving downward to decrease pressure in the cylinder. allowing for the entry of the fuel-air mixture through the intake valve. In the compression stroke. both valves close as the piston moves upward. compressing and heating the mixture for ignition. The spark plug then ignites the compressed mixture. causing it to rapidly expand and generating power for the crankshaft. During the exhaust stroke. the piston moves upward again to open the exhaust valve and release exhaust gases. This is followed by closing of the exhaust valve. opening of the intake valve. and repetition of these four strokes to produce enough force for vehicle movement.
