The Rudolph diesel engine was created as a more efficient alternative to the steam engine. which was the main power source during the Industrial Revolution. Diesel's goal was to improve the conversion of heat into function. with the aim of allowing small industries to compete against the monopolies that controlled most of the steam engines at that time. In 1892. he patented his design for an engine that boasted a remarkable efficiency of 25%. significantly higher than the mere 10% efficiency of a steam engine. This invention not only aimed to empower small and medium-sized businesses. but also had a positive impact on the environment by reducing waste.
It is true that tires have a useful life. The rubber and other materials in tires break down over time. so most manufacturers recommend replacing them at the age of 6 to 10 years. regardless of how much tread is left. In hot. sunny and other weather conditions. tires can be unsafe.
Not all vehicles have a catalytic converter. Primarily, vehicles fueled by gasoline or diesel are equipped with catalytic converters to reduce harmful emissions by converting exhaust pollutants into less harmful gases. Electric vehicles (EVs) do not require catalytic converters as they don't produce tailpipe emissions. Some older vehicles and certain equipment like lawn mowers or small generators may also lack a catalytic converter. However, most modern internal combustion engine vehicles, including cars, motorcycles, and trucks, come with a catalytic converter to meet stringent environmental regulations aimed at reducing air pollution.
Catalytic converters are not required for all vehicles. Some older cars. motorcycles. and newer vehicles that run on diesel. batteries. or hydrogen fuel cells may not have them. Some parts of the world may also have less stringent emission standards. so catalytic converters may not be included in vehicles sold there.
