Let’s start with minor maintenance:
The landlord’s own experience is that a tiger is the most cost-effective, there are activities, oil quality is basically guaranteed, a certain east, a cat, their own ability is not authentic. If the small maintenance cycle is often on urban roads, the basic minor maintenance cycle is 7000-9000 km, and the interval between high-speed commuting and full success is 10000 km. In general, it is recommended to change air filter element, air conditioner filter element and brake oil for minor maintenance. Replacement maintenance:

100000 km F series valve cover will leak oil, change the original factory, change the original factory, say important things three times. Aluminum alloy and changing seals will not solve the problem. The original factory accessories are about 2000, and the working hours are four or five hundred. Here, I do not recommend myself to buy accessories online, because it is difficult to tell the true from the false. If there is a problem in the physical store, I should not suggest going to a big chain store, because the cost may double.

100000 km oil pan leakage: change aluminum alloy, must change aluminum alloy, once and for all, solve the problem. The cost of accessories is only a few hundred yuan, the man-hour cost depends on the specific installation method, some need to dismantle Yuanbaoliang, some shops do not need to dismantle Yuanbaoliang, the general small shop can operate man-hour cost 500 to start. Here is an experience of avoiding the pit. If the car dismantles the Yuanbaoliang, you must keep an eye on the screws, screw them hard, put on the torque wrench, and do the four-wheel positioning (otherwise the car will cross the high and low road, the hair card will make a noise, and there will be tears if you talk too much. because the landlord stepped on the pit lesson, because the abnormal noise changed a lot of chassis plastic covers, no problem was not solved, and finally locked the Yuanbao beam screws to solve the problem) When changing the oil pan, you can replace the timing chain and the exact chain plate together. Why not change the formal chain when changing the valve cover. Because the timing chain plate will be broken, if broken, remove the oil sump just to pick it up, so as not to block the oil pump. Timing chain plate can choose brand parts, because the performance-to-price ratio is very high, a set is also more than a thousand. The most perfect way to save money is to replace the valve cover and the oil pan timing chain plate together to save man-hours. You can also talk about the price. In addition to avoid stepping on the pit, after changing the timing three-piece set, the store must adjust and re-learn the engine, certainly, this is experience. The landlord was almost tricked into replacing the servo motor and VDO sensor.
If the speed increase of more than 100000 kilometers is relatively slow, you can give priority to do a smoke leak detection, focusing on checking the turbine intake manifold and the waste pipe. If there is air leakage in the waste pipe, you must change the original factory, must change the original factory, and the brand parts will also leak. I used three brand accessories to get results, generally accessories 300 to 400, working hours ranging from dozens to hundreds, and so on.
Oil burning problem: when the N series reaches 100000, you have to change the valve oil seal, and now you can change the oil seal without removing it. Generally, it will be changed after many years of operation, ranging from two to three thousand, because the performance-to-price ratio is better than that of the street shop or auto repair street. It is not that kind of big chain store, chain store does not recommend, because the cost is very high, have money wayward to say otherwise.
Leakage problem: F series leakage is very common, my suggestion is to replace the leakage antifreeze pipe joint during the warranty period; if unfortunately there is no leakage during the warranty period, change the pipe joint decisively according to the leakage after the package, it is recommended to use aluminum alloy, which can save a sum of money. Online shopping accessories are only dozens of yuan a piece. If it is more than 15 kilometers, it is recommended to replace a large brand of water pipes, and the cost is less than one or two thousand. If you change the water pipe, you must change the antifreeze. You must use the antifreeze of the original factory to mix the water. If you use the conventional antifreeze, the pump will hang up easily in a short time. If you say too much, there are tears, and the landlord stepped on the pit of antifreeze.
In addition, I have to mention the water pump. BMW electronic water pump is very expensive. The price of the original single water pump is about 3K. The landlord suggested that the quality of the accessories should be looked at. The pump I used is the motherland’s version, which has been used for several years and is relatively stable. It remains to be seen (the latest observation: the motherland is not very stable and the main symptoms of the engine are high temperature, the temperature difference between the upper and lower water pipes is very large, and there is no reason for the barrier code. Replace a new one free of charge during the warranty period.
Let’s talk about chassis maintenance.
Chassis car after more than 100,000 kilometers, it is recommended to replace the shock absorber, recommended to replace the saxophone, try not to use the motherland version, because this motherland version is also the reason to inspire the landlord to write this post. The failure of the quality of the motherland version can easily lead to inconsistencies in the height of the car body and the distance between the car body and the tire. It is not recommended to change the assembly when replacing the shock absorber, the original car shock absorber must be compared with the newly bought shock absorber, and height measurement must be done, certain, certain, because the landlord is in the shock absorber pit, the instant accessories can be replaced, but the man-hour cost is wasted. A saxophone shock absorber is probably more than 500 in the F series. The man-hour rate is between 100 and 200. This is not technical content, roadside shops can be changed, with inductance and gas reduction that is a high-end player, it is recommended to go to chain specialty stores.
Chassis rubber sleeve: after 100,000 kilometers, the chassis rubber sleeve needs to be replaced one after another, and the chassis rubber sleeve F series suggests owls, but this accessory is too inferior, so it can only be said that some of the packaging is not true. It is recommended to go to the local auto parts city to get it. Just change the working hours of the roadside shop. The cold car starts to tremble, and the steering wheel holds the hand numb, usually a pair of more than a thousand engine pins. When changing the engine pins, the gearbox legs are also easily replaced, which is to save man-hours.
In addition, I have to mention that the f series rear drive car has a differential rubber sleeve, which has passed 100,000 kilometers of key inspection, basically all have the phenomenon of rupture, a total of four can be replaced directly if broken, and Yuanbaoliang can be replaced without dismantling it. The experience of this kind of landlord is that the stores around the auto parts city can be replaced, and the cost of large chain stores will double to more than a thousand.
In addition to these, the chassis also has each arm rubber sleeve, the principle rubber sleeve can be replaced separately, but there is a premise; some ball heads “such as loose or inelastic around the ball head, and the ball head dustproof sleeve is broken”. At this time, do not change the separate rubber sleeve, you must change the assembly, if there is such a problem to change the rubber cover separately, that is the pit.
The chassis also has to mention the pit point, that is, the sense of balance, the balance rod rubber sleeve can be replaced separately, there is no need to change the assembly, many stores will recommend you to change the assembly, because changing the rubber cover alone can not earn your man-hour fee, when changing the rubber cover, you must clean up the balance rod, otherwise the new one will make a strange sound, this experience, a pair of rubber cover is about 2 maximum RMB.
It is suggested that “when preparing the chassis, you can buy some chassis plastic clips online. generally, the chassis clips of more than 100,000 kilometers will be broken, the trunk is always ready, and a new one will be installed when the maintenance is broken.”
Other common fault series
Blower: due to the high temperature of BMW, the blower dustproof sponge will be carbonized, breaking this does not need to replace the assembly, just ask the repairman to re-paste a sponge. If someone asks about the symptoms (there will be a crash when the air volume of the air conditioner is turned on at maximum)
Warm water valve: this is easy to break. the symptom is to turn on the air conditioner in summer and give out cold air at the same time, or only cold air but no hot air in winter. It is recommended to change the Bosch or the original factory, 5 largest RMB. The motherland version is unstable and is not recommended.
Engine belt: 60,000 kilometers need to be replaced, why, engine oil leakage will be immersed in the belt, corrosion belt, there will be motor belt fracture, because the landlord has broken the belt. A set of Gates 600. You can change it in a roadside shop. It has no technical content.
The fuel meter is not allowed: after refueling, the pointer of the oil meter does not move, or the oil meter moves indiscriminately, this situation must be the problem of oil floats. Uncle Ma designs two oil floats on the left and right side of the fuel tank, which can not be changed on the left side, so he can only change the right side. Generally speaking, just replace the right side alone. There is no need to change the fuel tank assembly. One fuel tank can be exchanged for a second-hand car. It’s not cost-effective. It is suggested that the roadside shop in Auto repair City can be changed, a few hundred or so.
Steering machine: the steering machine will generally have torque sensor problems, will report a fault, and will cry for a long time, these can be repaired and replaced separately, do not go to the roadside shop specializing in the shop, because they will recommend you to replace the assembly. Uncle Ma’s home thing assembly is too expensive, there is no performance-to-price ratio, generally choose auto repair city direction engine repair shop can be repaired. The bearing can be changed with clearance in the direction, the torque sensor can be replaced, and by the way, you can do a steering machine maintenance, the full set is more than 1000. The main steering machine of the building has been maintained and the problem has been solved.
Turbine two water pipes and two oil pipes: will leak oil and water, directly dismantle four and replace them together, the typical man-hour cost is greater than the spare parts cost, remove the turbine by the way can do a maintenance for the turbine, there is a place to repair the turbine to do maintenance, here is an experience to share, once the N-series turbine will take out the ternary catalysis, at this time if you see the ternary blockage, wash directly, if there is no blockage, clean the oxygen sensor, you can save time and cost.
Other oil and water: the gearbox oil can be changed if the car is more than 100000 kilometers, but the fourth son will not change it for you. To find a general shop, you can replace the gearbox oil and the oil pan (ZF oil pan). The original gearbox oil is about 2k, and the cost of changing differential oil for more than 150000 kilometers is about a few hundred.
Electronic thermostat: 70,000 or 80,000 kilometers are about to break down. There is no solution to this, the main symptoms of thermostat the temperature difference between the two water pipes is very large. Just change the Mahler electronic thermostat, about 300 to solve the problem.
Oil grid base apron: this insurance period is changed at 8W km, oil leakage is the second, easy antifreeze to escape into the oil, just change the rubber ring. The original factory rubber ring is made in Japan, very practical, more than 100 points of cost.
Waste pipe on turbine manifold: this waste pipe will leak if the air leakage is not tight, the air leakage is small and the fault will not be reported, which shows that the acceleration power is a little weak, which can be detected by smoke leak detection. This pipe must be changed to the original factory. The cost of each fitting is more than 300.
